It Is Becoming Apparent The Tea Party Can Trust No One
Although Meg Whitman stumped for Republican candidate John McCain in 2008, and is running herself as a Republican for Governor of California, she herself said eleven months ago she was a huge fan of radical, social and economic justice pusher Van Jones. I’m not so sure she would say that today, not in public anyway.
So then, is one to assume she is also a progressive?
I can not say. She is a proponent of green technologies and government involvement in the green movement, based on her statements from the campaign website.
She is true to the Conservative platform in some areas such as no amnesty for illegal immigrants and enhancing border security as a priority, as an example.
Saying she is a huge fan of a communist ex-con, though, is a huge red flag.
Then today I came across a blog post on DarkPolitricks talking about Fox News. Not one in which they are demonized as a harsh critic of Obama, but suprisingly one in which it is stated they hired reporters to dig through the comment section of www.infowars.com to look for comments calling for violence and violent leaning rhetoric from those they see as “teaparty” members.
So although “teaparty” members as a rule are loyal Fox News watchers, Fox News itself is out to tarnish the teaparty. This would explain why we got almost no coverage when over one million of us marched at the capitol last September and why the coverage was inadequate for the Code Red rally the weekend Congress signed our liberty away.
A year ago, thedailypaul noted FBI agents were spying on teaparty members as well.
About the same time we found out any American who is a registered libertarian, has legally purchased guns, has served in the military, belongs to a teaparty group, etc.. is considered a low level terrorist by our government.
I am just not sure what country I live in anymore, but it looks nothing like the America I was led to believe I lived in. This is the New America my friends, one where commies are glorified and hard working, honest, tax paying Americans are put on the terrorist list and spied upon by supposedly fair and balanced news networks.

Just as in Searchlight Nevada over the weekend, the left is hell bent on anarchist actions toward the teaparty movement. It is urgent that all who attend rallies make certain police are notified beforehand of the actions being called for by the left before any rallies are held. It is important too, that all participants have a camera, video camera, cell phone, etc. to record any incidents that do occur. If you have one I would be more than happy to post what you have, as would many other conservative bloggers and columnists. Make sure you get the evidence to as many media outlets as will post them as we can not count on the main stream media to tell the truth.
This post appeared at the following website: http://news.infoshop.org/article.php?story=crash-tea-parties
Crash the tea parties!
On April 15th thousands of right-wingers will attend rallies in cities and towns across the United States. The organizers of this nationwide day of protest call it a tea party. This tea party movement that emerged only a year ago is a coalition of conservatives, anti-Semites, fascists, libertarians, racists, constitutionalists, militia men, gun freaks, homophobes, Ron Paul supporters, Alex Jones conspiracy types and American flag wavers.
If the tea party movement continues to grow in size and strength there is a big chance they will dominate this country in the near future. If the tea party movement takes over this country they will really hurt poor people by getting rid of social programs like food stamps, unemployment benefits, disability benefits, student aid, free health care, etc. The tea party movement will say these programs must be gotten rid of because hard-working taxpayers cannot afford to pay for these things especially when the economy is in a depression. There are three options we have with the tea party movement:
1. Organize counter-protests against the tea party demonstrations, same time, same place. This is probably the best option. We need to get in the streets on April 15th and show the tea party movement that there are lots of people out there who oppose their agenda.
2. Get individual tea party protesters to leave the right-wing and move to the left politically. That would involve passing out stuff like this at the tea party demonstrations: http://www.anarchist-studies.org/node/299
3. Ignore the tea party movement. This is the worst option because without anyone opposing them they could easily gain power.
The post goes on to give website addresses of various teaparty organisations and suggests their readers spy on us.
Newsbusters is reporting:
ACORN, HuffPo Organizing Efforts to Infiltrate Tax Day Tea Parties to Shape Media Coverage
On Fox News Channel’s April 7 “Your World,” host Neil Cavuto reported that the Tax Day tea party protests on April 15 will be “infiltrated” by their political opponents and led by left-wing activist organizations. He specifically named Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).
“Only eight days before a nationwide tea party, some over-caffeinated crashers aiming to lay waste to it,” Cavuto said. “Reports of very well-organized infiltrators trying to mix in and rain on this parade. Talk about taxing.”
…
In fact, The Huffington Post has even set up a Web site for so-called citizen journalists to infiltrate the protests.
“The Huffington Post wants to have citizen journalists at as many of these events as possible,” Arthur Delaney wrote for The Huffington Post on April 7. “If you think you’d be interested in attending one of the Tea Parties and reporting back to us with dispatches, photos, or video, click here to sign up. We’ll contact you shortly with further instructions.”
Please pass this info to everyone you know via email so that America knows what is going on here. Thank you.

I came across the following today from JBS.org :
Calling all constitutionalists! Here’s a bill you’ll be glad to support: The Enumerated Powers Act, H.R. 450 and S. 1319, “To require Congress to specify the source of authority under the United States Constitution for the enactment of laws, and for other purposes.”
Here’s the key provision of H.R. 450 (S. 1319 reads virtually the same): “Each Act of Congress shall contain a concise and definite statement of the constitutional authority relied upon for the enactment of each portion of that Act. The failure to comply with this section shall give rise to a point of order in either House of Congress.”
Sixty members of the House are already cosponsors of H.R. 450. There are 22 cosponsors of S. 1319 in the Senate.
Use these bills to put the pressure on your representative and senators to adhere to the Constitution. Phone and email (scroll down) them. Ask them to cosponsor these bills and work to bring them to the floors of the House and Senate for a vote. Get them on the record on their support or lack of support for obeying the Constitution.
Take advantage of the heightened receptiveness of Congress in this momentous election year featuring a rapidly growing constitutionalist movement to help convince your representative and senators to support the Enumerated Powers Act.
Click here for phone numbers for your representative’s and senators’ various offices.
Scroll down this page to send a prewritten, editable email message.
Be sure to personalize for maximum impact.
I urge you to join in the campaign to hold Congress’s feet to the fire. This should receive bipartisan support. I would love to see a vote on this before fall elections. If your congressional representatives won’t cosponsor this bill, that should tell you what side of the Constitution they are on. Period.

The drama played out this past week on Capitol Hill is deplorable with Dems painting tea partiers as racist homophobe vigilantes. Despite not having proof of the allegations and thousands of witnesses that say it never happened, the media reported the allegations as fact. That will backfire. The media hardly reported the fact that Republican Eric Cantor’s Virginia office was shot at early last week. Bullets trump bricks for danger, yet hardly a mention. Could that be because it does not fit their narrative. Hmm. It’s all BS. Many on Congress get threats constantly and Capitol Security said the number of threats had not increased over normal levels during recent weeks. So it’s all a ploy, plain and simple.
Remember when Bush was President? Well, where were the cries of brutality when leftists all over the country were calling out for his assassination? There were movies, rallies, etc.. Don’t remember that? Check out this link:

This clip is merely here for proof of the leftist movie about the “Death of A President” in which President Bush was assassinated. Warning: Graphic Violence
Or how about when Sarah Palin was hung in effigy?

Kinda says it all, huh?
How can you even consider voting for these lying, cheating, stealing people. They have zero integrity and even less concern or respect for the American people.
It is the Dems who are acting dangerously with leadership attempting to pit American citizens against one another.
I have written of the FEMA camps, EOs on martial law powers, and further attempts by President Obama to enhance the power of the presidency since Dems took office. I was always hoping my concern was overblown. Because they are doing things like this, I now wonder if the concern is not becoming more and more reality based.
Please spread this word to all in your email lists. It is important for people to understand these accusations made by Dem Leadership are not legitimate.

This is the fifth and final portion of my Corrupting America‘s Vote Count Series.
We will discuss here the SOSProject, funded by George Soros and former Progressive Insurance magnate Peter B Lewis, which seeks to pack paid for democrat politicians into Secretary of State offices around the country. Due to it’s non-federal 527 status, SOS Project can bring in unlimited funding without having to disclose their involvement with a campaign until well after said election has taken place, thus enabling it to work below the surface of voter’s vision. On November 9, 2009 I did a comprehensive column on the SOS project. Which I will republish in part for you here:
http://www.secstateproject.org is their official website. At present, they are seeking donations and fostering the campaigns of the following candidates. Please get involved in the campaigns of the OPPONENTS, which in this early stage are too numerous to mention, of those being backed by SOS. George Soros backed SOS candidates at present are:
Michigan: Jocelyn Benson
California: Debra Bowen
Iowa: Michael Mauro
South Dakota: Ben Nesselhuf
Ohio Maryellen: O’Shaughnessy
Minnesota: Mark Ritchie
Work to see these people are defeated in the fall.
We will try to keep on top of this and notify you of involvement by the group in various states. Another website who will also be tracking this is http://americancourthouse.com/ . You can always investigate involvement by your local candidates at www.WatchdogCentral.org as well, on not only this but other important issues.
Due to warranted national preoccupation last week with the health care debate, we will run this series as one cohesive piece this weekend. Please stop by to see portions you have missed. You have seen what the Democrat Party is willing to do to justify victory. Our only hope is that we can secure a fair and just election come this fall. Do NOT trust that to happen on it’s own. ALL EYES MUST HELP SECURE A FAIR ELECTION COUNT. We need fair minded citizens to get involved on a local level in every single municipality around the country. Let it be you.
What if I were to tell you the same corrupt players have found new ways to steal elections in America?
S.O.S. Project claims:
By electing clean Secretaries of State in 2010, we can ensure fair elections in 2012 across the country. We’re endorsing great candidates who support our goals – and we need your help to get them elected!
We’ve helped to elect 11 of 13 election reform candidates in key states like Minnesota and Ohio. Winning in these states has made a difference already, and now we’re gearing up for more wins in 2010.
By making a small contribution you can make sure unethical Secretaries of State like her and Ken Blackwell, never get to suppress our votes again. Dollar for dollar, the SoS Project is one of the most effective political investments you can make.
Since we launched in the fall of 2005, we have engaged in eleven races and have backed the winning candidate in nine states, including: Ohio, Minnesota, Iowa, Oregon, New Mexico, Montana, Nevada, West Virginia and Missouri. We lost only in Michigan and Colorado (and there by a tiny margin).
In 2008, we ran a sophisticated, highly targeted campaign in Montana which made the difference in a major upset – ousting the incumbent Republican Secretary of State. Most analysts anticipate a tough 2010 Senate race in Montana, and it is critical to have a fair Secretary of State in place. In Oregon last year we helped beat back a late unexpected surge to capture a critical open seat.
We are proud of our 2006 victory in Minnesota, where long time reformer Mark Ritchie pulled off a major upset, with our support. He was under fierce media and legal scrutiny as he oversaw the recount of the Franken/Coleman senatorial race, and operated with transparency and integrity, such that the Minnesota Supreme Court unanimously ruled to uphold the extremely close election results, finally sending Franken to the Senate, where his vote is much needed.
We pride ourselves on being fast, nimble, and strategic in our spending. Potential donors should know that the SoS Project’s startup and overhead costs are already fully funded. So your contributions go to providing money directly to candidates in targeted races and independent expenditure campaigns in critical states, not to our operational costs.
We seek donations to our SoS Strategic Fund for three purposes:
- to establish state political committees that will conduct innovative independent expenditure campaigns.
- to build a reserve that can be deployed, where legally permissible, to benefit the races where it will matter most in the hectic final days before the election.
- to grow the donor base for crucial down ballot races by spreading the story to new donors through paid online and social network marketing and activism campaigns.
The Secretary of State Fund, a non-federal 527, can accept unlimited contributions.
Who are these people? According to their website, they are:
Becky Bond works for a socially progressive mobile telephone company based in San Francisco. She serves on the board of the New Organizing Institute* and ActBlue.com*.
Lola Elfman is has served as an organizer and trainer for The New Organizing Institute* since 2007, she served as Internet Director for Phil Angelides’ campaign for California Governor*, and was a consultant with M+R Strategic Services*.
Megan Hull was a Project Director for Democracy Reform at the Center for Civic Participation*. In 2004, she was a Co-Director of the coalition that investigated polling place problems and vote counting irregularities in Ohio and New Mexico.
Michael Kieschnick is a social entrepreneur based in San Francisco. He is also a board member of the League of Conservation Voters, among other progressive organizations.
What they forgot to tell you was who else is on their team.
According to Matthew Vadum at American Spectator:
The founders of the Secretary of State Project, which claims to advance “election protection” but only backs Democrats, religiously believe that right-leaning secretaries of state helped the GOP steal the presidential elections in Florida in 2000 (Katherine Harris) and in Ohio in 2004 (Ken Blackwell).
The secretary of state candidates the group endorses sing the same familiar song about electoral integrity issues: Voter fraud is largely a myth, vote suppression is used widely by Republicans, cleansing the dead and fictional characters from voter rolls should be avoided until embarrassing media reports emerge, and anyone who demands that a voter produce photo identification before pulling the lever is a racist, democracy-hating Fascist.
The group was co-founded in July 2006 by James Rucker, formerly director of grassroots mobilization for MoveOn.org Political Action and Moveon.org Civic Action. “Any serious commitment to wrestling control of the country from the Republican Party must include removing their political operatives from deciding who can vote and whose votes will count,” said another co-founder, Becky Bond, to the San Francisco Chronicle in 2006.
Its website claims, “A modest political investment in electing clean candidates to critical Secretary of State offices is an efficient way to protect the election.” Indeed. Political observers know that a relatively small amount of money can help swing a little-watched race for a state office few people understand or care about.
In 2006, the Minnesota ACORN Political Action Committee endorsed Ritchie and donated to his campaign. According to the Minnesota Campaign Finance and Public Disclosure Board, contributors to Ritchie’s campaign included liberal philanthropists George Soros, Drummond Pike, and Deborah Rappaport, along with veteran community organizer Heather Booth, a Saul Alinsky disciple who co-founded the Midwest Academy, a radical ACORN clone. One article on Ritchie’s 2006 campaign website brags about the fine work ACORN did in Florida to pass a constitutional amendment to raise that state’s minimum wage.
It was revealed during a panel discussion at the Democratic Party’s convention in Denver this summer that the Democracy Alliance, a financial clearinghouse created by Soros and insurance magnate Peter B. Lewis, approved the Secretary of State Project as a grantee. The Democracy Alliance aspires to create a permanent political infrastructure of nonprofits, think tanks, media outlets, leadership schools, and activist groups-a kind of “vast left-wing conspiracy” to compete with the conservative movement. It has brokered more than $100 million in grants to liberal nonprofits including ACORN. The aforementioned Pike and Rappaport, who gave money to Ritchie’s campaign, are members of the Democracy Alliance.
According to IRS 8872 disclosure forms, the Secretary of State Project received donations from Democracy Alliance members including Soros, Rob Stein, Gail Furman, and Susie Tompkins Buell.
Who now heads the Democracy Alliance? Howard Dean.
What does SOS say of their recent victories:
In 2006, SoS Project donors helped raise over $500,000 to elect reform candidates in 5 key battleground states – Ohio, Nevada, Minnesota, Iowa and New Mexico. We raised over $200,000 in Ohio to defeat Ken Blackwell with one of the most progressive election officers in the nation, Jennifer Brunner. In the 2008 presidential election, Secretary of State Brunner made decision after decision to keep the election clean and make every vote count. In Minnesota, we helped Mark Ritchie beat a Republican incumbent. Because of Secretary of State Ritchie’s dedication to fairness and transparency, a recount in the Coleman-Franken Senate race ensured every vote was counted and resulted in the certification of Al Franken’s narrow victory in the 2008 Minnesota Senate contest. Dollar for dollar, the SoS Project was one of 2006’s most effective political investments.
The 2008 election was a magnificent one for the Secretary of State Project and our savvy group of supporters helping to win 4 of 4 races! Not only did we help oust a republican Secretary of State incumbent and win three other seats, but we also witnessed returns (as noted above) from our 2006 work to elect Secretaries of State in key presidential battleground states. In Montana alone, we launched a highly targeted campaign to put Linda McCulloch over the top by just 5,305 votes. In a state where Senator John Tester won his seat by less than 1% of the vote, Secretary of State Linda McCulloch will be able to ensure that every vote is counted when he runs for reelection in 2010. Our campaign made the difference.
According to Rebekah Chauhan in a blog on Brevard Tea Party:
Mark Ritchie, a Democrat and former community organizer, largely controlled the electoral process that seated Al Franken as the 60th Democrat in the Senate. Incumbent Republican Norm Coleman led Democrat Al Franken by 341 votes and the Democrats controlled 57 seats in the Senate, compared to the Republicans’ 40. The Minnesota seat was the only one that Democrats could try to steal. Franken was endorsed by ACORN Votes, ACORN’s federal political action committee. Minnesota’s secretary of state isn’t a Democrat by happenstance. Ritchie, who defeated two-term incumbent Republican Mary Kiffmeyer in 2006, received an endorsement and financial assistance for his run from a below-the-radar non-federal “527″ group called the Secretary of State Project. The entity can accept unlimited financial contributions and doesn’t have to disclose them publicly until well after the election. The founders of the Secretary of State Project, which claims to advance “election protection” only backs Democrats.
…In 2006, along with Minnesota’s Ritchie, SoS Project-endorsed Jennifer Brunner (Ohio), who defied federal law by refusing to take steps to verify 200,000 questionable voter registrations, trounced her opponent, 55% to 41%.
Discover the network web site says:
The idea for SoSP germinated shortly after that 2004 election, when the group’s Democrat founders blamed Kerry’s defeat on then-Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell, a Republican, who had ruled that Ohio (where Bush won by a relatively slim 118,599-vote margin) would not count provisional ballots — even those submitted by properly registered voters — if they had been submitted at the wrong precinct. Though the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 6th Circuit ultimately upheld Blackwell’s decision, SoSP’s founders nonetheless received the ruling with the same bitterness they had felt regarding former Florida (Republican) Secretary of State Katherine Harris’s handling of the infamous ballot recount in 2000 (when Bush defeated Al Gore in the presidential election). Moreover, SoSP’s founders accused Blackwell and Republicans of conspiring to suppress Democratic voter turnout in Ohio. “We were tired of Republican manipulation of elections,” said SoSP co-founder Michael Kieschnick, who also serves as President of Working Assets. “It seemed like lots of decisions were made by people who were pretty clearly political operatives.”
So, once again, George Soros, ACORN and the host of usual players are allowed to skirt the system to their own benefit. If you can’t win fair and square, win by any means necessary.
They are already formulating their campaigns for 2010. We need to keep that in mind. Watchdogs in the states touted by the SOS website as targets need to be on high alert and need to point out to fellow constituents what is really happening. Letters to the editor are a very effective tool for this as is calling local radio talk shows to bring up the subject.
http://secstateproject.org is their official website. At present, they are seeking donations and fostering the campaigns of the following candidates. My daughter-in-law, Laura Stevenson Paquette, was present on the hill all weekend. We are so very proud of her for participating, as we are proud of all of our fellow citizens that felt compelled to make yet one more trip to DC to demonstrate our contempt for the process and the content of this government takeover of heathcare. She was interviewed by her local television station- film here. She had a front row position for the supposed “name calling incident” and states her observations below:
The Code Red Rally From My Perspective
by Laura Stevenson Paquette
Every time I attend a tea party protest, I can’t help but feel a glimmer of hope that maybe this will be the time the media accurately reports what is going on. I attended the 9/12 protest in Washington, D.C., a state sovereignty rally in my home state of Virginia, and most recently, the Saturday and Sunday Code Red rallies against the health care bill. Sadly, the mainstream media has yet to get anything right.
I am not an uneducated redneck (I have a bachelors degree and a masters degree), I am not a racist, I am not uninformed or stupid. The other protesters don’t fit these descriptions either. We are citizens who are horrified to watch the destruction of the United State of America and the Constitution. The following is my account of what really happened on Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21.
Once I heard that protesters would be back in D.C. on Saturday to denounce the health care bill, I felt compelled to go. As a young wife and middle school teacher, I didn’t think I could live with myself if I didn’t do everything I could for the future of my students and for the children that my husband and I hope to have. Early Saturday morning, I left my home near Virginia Beach, picked up my friend Jill in Williamsburg, and made the three hour drive to D.C. We weren’t sure if many people would be there or not; after-all, the Saturday rally was put together at the last minute, and many people had a lot further to drive than we did.
As we emerged from the Capital South metro station and started walking toward the west lawn of the Capital building, our hearts began to swell. Everywhere we looked, protesters were walking toward the Capital. They carried American Flags, yellow “Don’t Tread on Me” flags, wore pro tea party and pro Constitution t-shirts, and carried homemade signs. I did not see any Confederate flags. We arrived on the lawn at approximately 12:30pm, and it was packed with tens of thousands of people. We listened to some of the tea party organizers and supporters speak, and then we were informed that President Obama would be arriving on the east side of the Capital at 3:00pm. Hundreds of us moved to stand on either side of the street that leads to the east side. We also stood on either side of the sidewalk and steps that leads from the Capital to the Cannon House Office Building. Jill and I positioned ourselves on the sidewalk, right next to the stairs leading into the building. On the stairs, a group of gentlemen held up an American flag.
As members of Congress walked from the Capital to the Cannon HOB, we chanted slogans such as “Kill the bill,” or “Vote no!” As members of the Congressional Black Caucus walked past us, we all booed. After they entered the Cannon HOB, one of them came back out with a police officer, saying someone had called him the “n-word”. Contrary to what has been reported in the mainstream news media, at no point did I hear any racial slurs or see anyone spitting. If these events had really happened, why weren’t they captured by the cameras that were present? I am deeply disturbed that false allegations are being made against us. Clearly the left is trying to discredit us by making us look like racists and bigots.
I would also like to provide an account of the supposed counter-protesters. People in support of the health care bill began arriving on Sunday between 12:00 and 1:00pm. They were bused in by the SEIU, carried matching blue signs provided to them, and angrily tried to march through our tea party protest. Whenever one of them came marching in, we blew our whistles to drown out their cries of, “Health care now!” and we held our homemade signs and flags up in front of their pre-manufactured ones. We were not rude to them.
Throughout the two days I spent at the Capital, I was nothing but impressed by my fellow tea party members and protesters. All races and ages were represented. Many, many families were there. The signs people carried were about a love for democracy and the Constitution, and a hatred of socialism and big government. I did not see or hear anything racist. We left no trash on the ground. We thanked the police, who were very cordial and polite, for keeping us safe and helping to direct us around the city. Our cries were not cries of hatred, but cries for freedom and liberty! We prayed; we sang patriotic songs. We said The Lord’s Prayer and The Pledge of Allegiance. We were, and are, ordinary people who have answered the call to save Our Country.

The following was kindly provided us by Melinda Brown from Ohio. I certainly appreciate her sharing her experience at the Code Red Rally last week and find her story enlightening. I think it vastly points out what is wrong with our politicians and why they must get a one way ticket home come November.
Melinda’s Story
I’d like to think of myself as a small town girl. I live in the same town I grew up in. At the age of 48 I will be graduating from College this spring with my RN. Going back to school has been quite a challenge. When I started school all of my six children were living at home. Part way through my education, my then 16 year old daughter was in a near fatal auto accident, which left her paralyzed from the chest down. Her condition is one of the reasons I have gotten so involved in politics. Due to the fact government insurance (Medicaid) covers so little and it is hard to find a provider, we have always maintained private insurance for her. The other reason I am involved is my unhappiness with where our country is heading: The out of control spending, Entitlement programs, new taxes well let’s just say I could go on forever.
I’ve been active with the Tea Party Movement and Miami Co. Liberty Group. When I received an e-mail that a group was going to Washington DC, I had to go. This was called a “Code-Red Health Care Protest”. The group was headed up by a local doctor along with small business owners, nurses, retired military and other professionals. The itinerary was to meet Mon. 3/15 at 9 PM and then take the bus to Union Terminal. We would spend the day in Washington and then board the bus for the trip back. I knew this would be a tiring trip but at the same time felt strongly I needed to go.
After arriving in DC at 6 AM, we ate breakfast in Union Station and met up with other groups from Ohio. We walked as a group to the Cannon Building where we were going to listen to several Republican Congressional speakers. I’ve never been to Washington before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. There were several police officers walking with Dogs. I’m guessing they were checking for explosives. I also noticed there were police on foot, several cruisers and some on those new scooters. We walked past different groups of school- age children. I was surprised when several of the kids from one group yelled at us “We need Health Care Now”. These kids were maybe 10 years old. I’m sure someone planted that into their heads.
It was cloudy and a bit chilly. My hand warmers weren’t keeping me warm enough as we waited for the rally to start. I had never noticed media at any of the Tea parties or protests I’ve been to before, this time there were camera’s everywhere. They were lined up in a semi-circle around the podium. While we were waiting I had a reporter approach me and ask if he could interview me. I’m not even sure what station he was with. He asked me to say my name, where I was from, and why I was here. I told him about my daughter’s medical condition and how bad government insurance is. I even went into detail on how the government only gives her 4 catheters monthly. She is to wash them out and reuse them. Private insurance will give her 240monthly, this gives her a sterile one for each time she urinates. If we aren’t suppose to reuse a straw, why would we reuse a catheter?
To be honest, during the speeches I just wanted them to hurry up so we could get over to the Congressional buildings. I wanted to visit several of the offices. I also felt like I had heard their speeches before. They didn’t need to convince me this Health Care Bill is a bad idea. Once it ended we had to discard our signs and put our flags away before we were allowed into the buildings. I was lucky, I was with people who had been to DC before. We went to a side door so we didn’t have to wait in line to go through the metal detectors. I had to be scanned because I forgot I had a belt buckle on. One of the officers tried to take my flag away. I told her I wasn’t going display it and that I had already thrown my flag pole away. She tried several times to take it, and I refused to give it to her. I was politely firm. She let me keep it.
We had 30 minutes for lunch and went to the Congressional Cafeteria. By the time we went through the line we only had 10 minutes to eat. The food was not impressive and rather pricey. We had a meeting scheduled with Deputy Chief of Staff for Marcy Kaptur. We went as a group to Marcy Kaptur’s office. Her Chief of Staff decided it would be best if we met outside due to the size of our group. One of the men in our group “retired Vet” pulled out his camcorder. He was told by one of the aids to put it away. He is the kind of man who doesn’t like to be told what to do. He asked several times why but finally put it away. This meeting did not go well, he put his wall up and was on defense. When our leader wasn’t getting anywhere with him, he decided to move on. They left and I went up and shook his hand, thanking him for his time. I also told him why I was so concerned about this Health Care Bill. Surprisingly enough, he actually took the time to listen to me. He told me he understood my concerns because he has a brother with Cerebral Palsy. He gave me his card and told me to contact his office. It was then that I noticed my group had deserted me.
I was armed with my folder, which gave me a list of those congressmen who were leaning yes or on the fence. I headed for the Cannon Building. I asked if I had to go outside to get from the Longworth Building to the Cannon building and was told it was the only way to get there. I later learned that wasn’t true. There are tunnels that connect all the buildings, but the sun had come out and the walk was nice. I visited the offices for the ones from Ohio. The office staff were not friendly. I asked in each to speak to the member of congress. I knew they would be held hostage someplace so I asked to speak with an executive officer. What a surprise! None were available. I was told I could write a message. And that I did. I left my name, address, phone number and filled the rest of the page as to why I was opposed to the Health Care Bill. I followed my list and visited each one in the Cannon Building before moving on.
I wasn’t the only one in the hallways; there was a group singing the “Star Spangled Banner” in front of one of the offices. Security had come and asked them to clear the hall. Others had come to do the same thing I was doing. I stopped one of the aids in the hallway. He was young and looked friendly. Hoping to get some helpful advice, I asked him for some hints on how I could be more productive. He suggested I hang out in the walkway that’s in the basement or the congressional cafeteria. He said the Congressmen have to go through the hall, “Just stop them and tell them what you have to say”. The area, I believe in the Cannon building, where most of the interview are filmed was another place I stopped to chat. One of the camera men was sitting in a chair reading a book. He told me that they are at the Congressmen’s beckoned call. They get a schedule and have to be ready for them. He told me it didn’t matter if they are Republican or Democrat, they are arrogant. It’s like they think they are in an upper class from us. I can tell that by the way they dress, designer everything, and even their mannerism. I keep thinking “They Work for US”.
Not getting any sleep was starting to take it’s toll. I found the cafeteria and got a bottle of water. I began scanning the crowd, thinking it would be nice to have a photo directory. I did see Zach Space, but he escaped before I could get to him. I knew he was leaning yes. The group I was with met there 15 minutes after I got there. I didn’t know they were coming there, but I was glad to see them. They told me we had to head for John Boehner’s office, he was going to have a private meeting with us.
As we arrive at Boehner’s office, his aids told us we had to leave all of our stuff in his office. Boehner would meet with us over at the White House and we were only to bring ID. This screening process took longer then the screening into the Congressional buildings. We were all given ID badges and led through the tunnels. There was a display of the best high school artwork in the country. Some of these artists have a lot of talent. Security was everywhere.
Before we entered a small hallway, we were told to be quiet because a live news conference was going on. Wouldn’t you know it was Pelosi giving her update on the Health Care Bill. I really wanted to shout something, but I figured I would end up calling someone for bail money. We were led to a large conference room with an oval table. We were getting ready to sit down when a photographer said she wanted to get a picture of our group. Just as she had us posed, Boehner stepped in and said “Hey, let me get in on this”. We sat down and talked with Boehner for about 45 minutes. I appreciated that he took the time to talk with us. Unfortunately, he could not tell us anything positive. He said we need to make changes in November. He also said the size of the government needs to shrink.
We visited a few more offices after our meeting but with the same results. We were all getting tired. Our leader asked if we wanted to go to Sherrod Brown’s office. My thinking was, “this is a waste of time”. This building was newer than the Congressional buildings. There was also a large work of “Art”, if that’s what you want to call it in the middle of the building. It was called “Clouds and a rainbow”. What a waste of money! Others must have had the same thought I did concerning the visit to Sherrod’s office. We decided to have some fun. With a straight face one of the men in our group walked in and said “I just heard on MSNBC that Sherrod is switching to the Republican party”. The look on their faces was priceless. We recorded it on a camera phone and will try to post it on U-Tube.
I’m glad I took the trip. More of us need to take a stand for what is right. I feel like our country is going down. Our kids are going to be stuck with all this debt, and we are losing the best health care in the world. We are suppose to be the land of the free. We are losing our freedom fast! I am not going to give up my fight. I spread the word and educate people every chance I get. In my conversations with people I know, there are more people not happy with the spending, expansion of government and healthcare bill.

From Fox News:
Obama Executive Order on Abortion Funding
The White House just released this statement:
STATEMENT FROM COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR DAN PFEIFFER
Today, the President announced that he will be issuing an executive order after the passage of the health insurance reform law that will reaffirm its consistency with longstanding restrictions on the use of federal funds for abortion.
While the legislation as written maintains current law, the executive order provides additional safeguards to ensure that the status quo is upheld and enforced, and that the health care legislation’s restrictions against the public funding of abortions cannot be circumvented.
The President has said from the start that this health insurance reform should not be the forum to upset longstanding precedent. The health care legislation and this executive order are consistent with this principle.
The President is grateful for the tireless efforts of leaders on both sides of this issue to craft a consensus approach that allows the bill to move forward.
A text of the pending executive order follows:
EXECUTIVE ORDER
– – – – – – –
ENSURING ENFORCEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ABORTION RESTRICTIONS IN THE PATIENT PROTECTION AND AFFORDABLE CARE ACT
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” (approved March ¬¬__, 2010), I hereby order as follows:
Section 1. Policy.
Following the recent passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (“the Act”), it is necessary to establish an adequate enforcement mechanism to ensure that Federal funds are not used for abortion services (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered), consistent with a longstanding Federal statutory restriction that is commonly known as the Hyde Amendment. The purpose of this Executive Order is to establish a comprehensive, government-wide set of policies and procedures to achieve this goal and to make certain that all relevant actors—Federal officials, state officials (including insurance regulators) and health care providers—are aware of their responsibilities, new and old.
The Act maintains current Hyde Amendment restrictions governing abortion policy and extends those restrictions to the newly-created health insurance exchanges. Under the Act, longstanding Federal laws to protect conscience (such as the Church Amendment, 42 U.S.C. §300a-7, and the Weldon Amendment, Pub. L. No. 111-8, §508(d)(1) (2009)) remain intact and new protections prohibit discrimination against health care facilities and health care providers because of an unwillingness to provide, pay for, provide coverage of, or refer for abortions.
Numerous executive agencies have a role in ensuring that these restrictions are enforced, including the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and the Office of Personnel Management (OPM).
Section 2. Strict Compliance with Prohibitions on Abortion Funding in Health Insurance Exchanges. The Act specifically prohibits the use of tax credits and cost-sharing reduction payments to pay for abortion services (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered) in the health insurance exchanges that will be operational in 2014. The Act also imposes strict payment and accounting requirements to ensure that Federal funds are not used for abortion services in exchange plans (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered) and requires state health insurance commissioners to ensure that exchange plan funds are segregated by insurance companies in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, OMB funds management circulars, and accounting guidance provided by the Government Accountability Office.
I hereby direct the Director of OMB and the Secretary of HHS to develop, within 180 days of the date of this Executive Order, a model set of segregation guidelines for state health insurance commissioners to use when determining whether exchange plans are complying with the Act’s segregation requirements, established in Section 1303 of the Act, for enrollees receiving Federal financial assistance. The guidelines shall also offer technical information that states should follow to conduct independent regular audits of insurance companies that participate in the health insurance exchanges. In developing these model guidelines, the Director of OMB and the Secretary of HHS shall consult with executive agencies and offices that have relevant expertise in accounting principles, including, but not limited to, the Department of the Treasury, and with the Government Accountability Office. Upon completion of those model guidelines, the Secretary of HHS should promptly initiate a rulemaking to issue regulations, which will have the force of law, to interpret the Act’s segregation requirements, and shall provide guidance to state health insurance commissioners on how to comply with the model guidelines.
Section 3. Community Health Center Program.
The Act establishes a new Community Health Center (CHC) Fund within HHS, which provides additional Federal funds for the community health center program. Existing law prohibits these centers from using federal funds to provide abortion services (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered), as a result of both the Hyde Amendment and longstanding regulations containing the Hyde language. Under the Act, the Hyde language shall apply to the authorization and appropriations of funds for Community Health Centers under section 10503 and all other relevant provisions. I hereby direct the Secretary of HHS to ensure that program administrators and recipients of Federal funds are aware of and comply with the limitations on abortion services imposed on CHCs by existing law. Such actions should include, but are not limited to, updating Grant Policy Statements that accompany CHC grants and issuing new interpretive rules.
Section 4. General Provisions.
(a) Nothing in this Executive Order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect: (i) authority granted by law or presidential directive to an agency, or the head thereof; or (ii) functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.
(b) This Executive Order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.
(c) This Executive Order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity against the United States, its departments, agencies, entities, officers, employees or agents, or any other person.

STATEMENT BY NATIONAL RIGHT TO LIFE COMMITTEE ON ABORTION “DEAL” ON HEALTH CARE LEGISLATION
WASHINGTON — (Sunday, March 21, 2010, 6 PM EDT) — In response to today’s announcement regarding an agreement between Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mi.) and President Obama on the pending health care bill (H.R. 3590), the following statement was issued by the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC), the federation of right-to-life organizations in the 50 states:
The National Right to Life Committee (NRLC) remains strongly opposed to the Senate-passed health bill (H.R. 3590). A lawmaker who votes for this bill is voting to require federal agencies to subsidize and administer health plans that will pay for elective abortion, and voting to undermine longstanding pro-life policies in other ways as well. Pro-life citizens nationwide know that this is a pro-abortion bill. Pro-life citizens know, and they will be reminded again and again, which lawmakers deserve their gratitude for voting against this pro-abortion legislation.
The executive order promised by President Obama was issued for political effect. It changes nothing. It does not correct any of the serious pro-abortion provisions in the bill. The president cannot amend a bill by issuing an order, and the federal courts will enforce what the law says.
To elaborate: The order does not truly correct any of the seven objectionable pro-abortion provisions described in NRLC’s March 19 letter to the House of Representatives, which is posted here: www.nrlc.org/AHC/NRLCToHouseOnHealthBill.pdf.
Regarding Community Health Centers (CHCs), NRLC has documented the problem created by H.R. 3590 here: www.nrlc.org/AHC/NRLCMemoCommHealth.html.
Prof. Robert Destro, a professor of law and former dean of the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America, and an expert on abortion-related litigation, has sent lawmakers a letter explaining why the bill opens the door to direct federal funding of abortion in Community Health Centers: www.nrlc.org/ahc/DestroLetterToStupakOnCommHealthCenters.pdf.
Prof. Destro clearly explains why it is the statutory language that will govern.
Regarding the new program to provide tax credits to purchase private insurance, the executive order merely tinkers with the formalities of a bookkeeping scheme under which federal subsidies will pay for plans that cover elective abortion — a break from the longstanding principles of the Hyde Amendment.
The order does nothing at all to mitigate the other abortion-related problems described in the NRLC letter, dealing with bill provisions that create dangerous regulatory mandate authorities, revise Indian health programs, and create pools of directly appropriated funds that are not covered by existing restrictions on funding of abortion. Nor can the order correct the omission from the pending legislation of the necessary conscience-protection language that had been included in House-passed health care legislation last November (the “Weldon language”).
For additional information regarding the abortion-related components of the legislation, and NRLC’s assessment of the gravity of these issues, please refer to the March 19 letter linked above, and other materials posted on the NRLC website at http://www.nrlc.org/AHC/Index.html.
For interviews on this issue, please call the NRLC Communications Department at (202) 626-8825.
Rally Photos from A Patriot
A fellow Patriot who is a reader of this column was thoughtful enough to send some photos from the Code Red Rally today in Washington. As I hear is typical, the Metro was running slowly, helped in part by the number of Patriots attending today. Michele Bachmann has said her estimate is 50,000 Patriots. The speeches were wonderful and the enthusiasum of the crowd uplifting, delivering the hope our President failed to deliver to citizens of this country.
ALTHOUGH THE OBJECT OF THE RALLY WAS TO MEET WITH CONGRESSMEN AND WOMEN, THE RAYBURN BUILDING WAS OCCUPIED BUT LOCKED.
If you can believe it, the occupants of the Rayburn building had the unmittigated gall to lock the doors, leaving all the citizens that traveled from many states throughout the country to meet with thier representatives standing out in the sun. That, my friends, capsulizes the issues with our governement. Although they are supposed to represent us, they don’t care what we have to say, what we think, or what we feel.
While the Obama administration has said our government is not allowed to torture terrorists, they have no problem torturing taxpaying citizens.
I must admit, I could not bring myself to listen to Obama’s little “Pep Rally” today, I had to hit the mute button. I figure, though, it’s fair play, as he has had us on mute every since he took office.
Thank you to Tom Bodine for the photos.

CAMP: Opening Statement before Rules Committee Consideration of Democrat Health Care Bill
Washington, D.C., Mar 20 –
Congressman Dave Camp (R-MI)
Ranking Member, Ways and Means Committee
Opening Statement before the Rules Committee
Consideration of H.R. 4872, the “Reconciliation Act of 2010,” and
Senate Amendments to H.R. 3590, the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act”
Saturday, March 20, 2010
“Madam Chairwoman, Ranking Member Dreier, and members of the Committee, thank you for the opportunity to testify today on this legislation.
The American people have spoken: they do not want the federal government involved in their personal health care and they do not want a bill that spends over a $1 trillion, raises more than one-half trillion dollars in new taxes, cuts Medicare by more than one-half trillion dollars and increases Americans’ health insurance premiums. Yet, that is exactly what will happen if the House passes the Senate Democrats’ health care bill and the Reconciliation bill tomorrow.
The American people have rejected this bill precisely because it taxes too much, spends too much and increases premiums too much. With a total of $569.2 billion in new taxes, these bills represent the single largest tax increase in American history. Just what are those taxes? They are:
• A first-time ever tax on health care benefits, commonly referred to as the “Cadillac tax,” which raises taxes on the American people by $32 billion but that will grow rapidly in the next decade.
• A new Medicare tax on wages, self-employment income and certain investment income that increases taxes by $210.2 billion.
• A new tax on health insurance providers, which will undoubtedly be passed onto consumers in the form of higher premiums, and totals $60.1 billion.
• A new employer mandate tax that will crush small businesses, reduce wages and kill American jobs by directly increasing taxes on employers by $52 billion and indirectly by much more, as employers are forced to spend even more than they do today on health benefits, even though unemployment is already near 10 percent.
• A new tax on drug manufacturers and importers of $27 billion, which will be passed on to consumers.
• A new tax on medical device manufacturers and importers of $20 billion, which also will be passed on to consumers.
• New requirements on information reporting on payments to corporations that raises $17.1 billion.
• A new, higher floor for medical expense deductions for people with high-medical bills that raises $15.2 billion in taxes.
• A new individual mandate tax, which forces Americans to purchase health care they don’t want and can’t afford or else pay this tax. This raises $17 billion and an earlier analysis of this provision by the Joint Committee on Taxation said nearly half of that will be paid by Americans earning less than 300 percent of the federal poverty limit, which is $66,150 for a family of four. This, like so many of the other provisions I mentioned, clearly violates the President’s pledge that no family with an income of less than $250,000 would pay higher taxes.
• There are also new limits on Flexible Spending Accounts in cafeteria plans that raise $13 billion in new taxes.
• There is an elimination of the deduction for expenses allocable to Medicare Part D subsidy in order to raise tax revenues by $4.5 billion.
• Other restrictions on Health Savings Accounts, Health Reimbursement Arrangements and Flexible Spending Accounts increase taxes by $5 billion.
• There is even a new set of taxes on tanning services to the tune of $2.7 billion.
• A limit to the deductibility of compensation paid to employees of certain health insurance providers that increases taxes by $600 million. It is a small number, but I thought it was refreshing to mention one that is in the millions of dollars rather than billions.
• But that’s not all. There is a modification of section 833 treatment of certain health organizations that raises $400 million in new taxes.
• These bills deny the use of the so-called “black liquor” for the cellulosic bio-fuel producer credit, which raises $23.6 billion in tax revenues.
• Then there is codifying economic substance doctrine that increases taxes by $4.5 billion.
• And, JCT tells us there are other “revenue” effects of $60.3 billion.
Again, these 20 different categories of tax increase total $569.2 billion.
These bills cut Medicare by nearly the same amount – a whopping $523.5 billion in cuts to a program that provides health care to our nation’s elderly and the disabled. When the Senate proposed cuts that were 12 percent smaller, the President’s own Medicare Actuaries predicted that, “providers might end their participation in the program (possibly jeopardizing access to care for beneficiaries).” But today we are being asked to send to the floor a bill that cuts even deeper into Medicare and the benefits it provides. Just what are these cuts? They are:
• $202.3 billion in cuts to seniors’ Medicare health plans, including massive cuts targeting the extra benefits and reduced cost-sharing seniors receive through Medicare Advantage. CBO predicted a similar policy would result in 4.8 million fewer seniors will be enrolled in these plans in 2019, while the independent Medicare Payment Advisory Commission predicted a similar policy would result 1 in 5 seniors no longer being able to enroll in Medicare Advantage as a result of this policy.
• $156.6 billion in cuts to inpatient and outpatient hospital services, inpatient rehabilitation facilities, long-term care hospitals, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, Ambulatory Surgical Centers, hospice, ambulances, dialysis facilities, labs and durable medical equipment suppliers.
• $39.7 billion in cuts to the home health providers.
• $22.1 billion in additional cuts to hospitals by slashing reimbursements designed to assist hospitals that serve low-income patients.
• $20.7 billion in cuts to the Medicare Improvement Fund, which had been intended to fund improvements to seniors’ Medicare benefits, not to finance a new entitlement.
• $13.3 billion in yet-to-be-determined Medicare cuts from the hands of an unelected federal board.
• $2.3 billion in cuts to imaging reimbursements when seniors have MRIs, CT scans, and other procedures.
• $ 800 million in cuts to power wheelchair suppliers.
• $65.7 billion in money taken from seniors in the form of higher premiums and additional cuts to Medicare beneficiaries and providers.
The $569.2 billion in new taxes and the $523.5 billion in cuts to Medicare to fund a new entitlement program are unacceptable, especially when you consider these bills will increase the deficit – once the cost of the Medicare doctor fix is factored in – and increase the cost of health insurance for Americans.
Simply put, the Democrats’ bill will not only ruin our health care system, but the tax increases will ruin our economy.
Madame Chairman, I would like to close by making a few simple requests.
First, I urge you not to make these bills in order. They are deeply flawed and ought not to be brought to the Floor for a vote.
Second, if you insist on making them in order, I ask that you wait until we have missing but very critical information about them, such as the impact on health insurance premiums and on national health spending.
With respect to both the Senate bill and the one the House passed, the Congressional Budget Office agreed both would raise the cost of health insurance and the Medicare actuaries agreed both would increase national health spending.
Before we vote on these bills, then, I think we ought to know if the “fixes” to be passed by reconciliation have worked or if they had made the situation worse.
Third, if you insist on moving this to the Floor for possible consideration tomorrow, I request that you not use the so-called “Slaughter Solution” and instead allow a clear and clean vote on each measure; the American public deserves to know where their elected officials stand and not to have them hide behind a procedural vote.
Thank you for the opportunity to testify today.”

Part five of my series on Corrupting the American Vote Count will be posted Monday night.
I can not seem to keep my mind off what is happening in DC right now.
Like the other 61% of Americans that do not want this health care bill passed, I am so concerned. Like so many other patriots I have spoken with over the last several days, I am just sick over this.
Everything that is happening in DC right now is full of trickery, deceit, and immoral behavior. I just don’t understand, unless they WANT to totally trash this country, WHY THEY ARE DOING THIS.
If they wanted TRUE reform they would not have written the bill this way, nor would they have had to make backstabbing, expensive and unconstitutional deals in order to pass it.
What has our country come to? And it’s downhill from here.
Harry Reid said today he will soon offer legislation on Single Payer. Of course, it’s well known they will be taking up illegal immigration reform, cap and trade and universal voter as soon as this passes. Rumor has it they will be using Slaughter or reconciliation to pass these as well.
Please PRAY. Even if you have a questionable relationship with God, if you love this country, PRAY.
For those able to go to DC Saturday, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. Please post your photos and stories in the comment section.
We will have a guest blogger with us Sunday night that will share her experiences from the Code Red Rally earlier in the week and her attempts to communicate with Representatives personally.
If you are not able to go to DC, there will be rallies all over the country Saturday. Please go if you can. If not, show up at your local representative’s office or senator’s office with a sign and just hang out for a while this weekend.
The voice mail boxes in DC are now all full. Those weasels are too cowardly to even answer their phones. They are such a disgrace to all that America USED to be and is supposed to be today. Here is a link to the twitter addresses for all Congress Members who have them:
http://thejaghunter.wordpress.com/2010/03/18/#rush
Please watch FOX this weekend to get the real story of the protests (hopefully- there is no gauarantee).
Please carry this memory with you for the rest of your life in order to make certain this never happens again. Never again can we so carelessly elect people to represent our interests in Washington.
I feel so sorry for those who are expecting real medical reforms. It may be some time before all realize they have been had.
Read Full Post | Make a Comment ( 1 so far )Corrupting the American Vote – Part 4
This is part of an ongoing series on threats to the American Vote Count. The series will continue all week.
We must also point out the shortly upcoming push by Dems for another corruption of our voting system called “Universal Voter” program. This will further decay the reliability of the vote count substantially.
Please watch the above video. Late last fall at a conference at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, John Fund said:
In January [it is behind schedule], Chuck Schumer and Barney Frank will propose universal voter registration. What is universal voter registration? It means all of the state laws on elections will be overridden by a federal mandate. The feds will tell the states: ‘take everyone on every list of welfare that you have, take everyone on every list of unemployed you have, take everyone on every list of property owners, take everyone on every list of driver’s license holders and register them to vote regardless of whether they want to be…they will include enfranchisement of felons, too.
In an article by the Examiner.com, James Simpson wrote:
Leftist groups are already arguing that universal voter registration will solve all the problems with our voting system. But the left created most of these problems. The radical leftist Nation magazine, for example, absolutely loves the idea of universal voter registration. This is the same magazine, however, that advanced Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven’s Manufactured Crisis strategy. The Cloward/Piven strategy was designed to undermine government institutions by overwhelming them with impossible demands for services. Cloward and Piven focused on welfare, housing and voting as the main targets of this strategy, and the radical group ACORN was specifically created for the purpose of executing it.
The Nation article enthusiastically lists Cloward/Piven-inspired organizations like Project Vote, the ACORN group where President Obama cut his teeth. It also discusses the left’s efforts to push enforcement of the Motor Voter law, and explains how universal voter registration could assist in these efforts. Cloward and Piven were the ones who crafted Motor Voter legislation in the early 1980s and pushed for it’s enactment until 1993, when President Clinton signed it into law. Cloward and Piven considered Motor Voter to be their crowning lifetime achievement.
The left has predictably launched vicious smear attacks against John Fund for bringing universal voter registration to our attention. A Google search of the issue brings up any number of nasty ad hominem attacks. Most notable is Media Matters, the leftist group whose sole purpose seems to be smearing Republicans and defending the left’s indefensible policies. They put up this gem: “Right-Wing Ass Weasel John Fund Doesn’t Like Universal Voter Registration because of ACORN.” Media Matters, what a class act!
The problems with universal voter registration are numerous and obvious. Many state lists include vast numbers of illegals, including some states which allow illegals to obtain driver’s licenses; because many homeowners have more than one home there will be duplicates; because so many people are on so many separate federal and state government agency lists, there will be duplicates, and because so many lists exist with little or no cross-checking capability these duplicates are likely to go uncorrected. Add to this the fact that Dems hope to extend voting rights to felons and the whole thing begins to look like a nationwide Democrat voter registration drive facilitated by taxpayers.
Universal voter registration will create massive vulnerabilities to systemic voter fraud nationwide, and if Democrats have proven anything in recent years, it is that they can win elections that way. The George-Soros-funded Secretary of State project (SOS) was designed to take advantage of such vulnerabilities and may have been developed in anticipation of the universal voter registration plan. Al Franken’s stolen election in Minnesota was a trial run for the SOS project. Longtime ACORN friend Mark Ritchie was elected Minnesota Secretary of State in 2006 with Soros’s SOS and ACORN money, and what followed in Norm Coleman’s Senate runoff election was a frighening demonstration of just how far Democrats will go to win. Franken won the runoff and the Democrats got their filibuster-proof sixty vote Senate majority.
The Motor Voter law was correctly identified as a facilitator of vote fraud. One of the few legal issues Barack Obama actually participated in as a lawyer was a 1995 suit against the State of Illinois, which he brought on behalf of ACORN. Then Republican Governor Jim Edgars saw the newly passed Motor Voter act as creating the potential for massive vote fraud and refused to implement it. With the assistance of the Clinton Justice Department, Obama’s legal team won that suit.
In part five we will look at the George Soros SOS Project. Coupled together with all the rest, the end of honest elections is at hand in America.
