Worker Says Oil “Clean Up” Just For Show
Warren says she knew that when crews worked during the day, the tide and surf buried oil overnight. But they were forbidden to dig it up. She quit in disgust three weeks ago despite the $18 per hour pay.
She said she was told to only clean the surface of the sand, that this is all cosmetic. She was on a crew at Gulf State Park where tourists go. She says it has priority so as to make it look like the beaches are clean.
Warren says she believes money is being wasted on the crews and says “At some point the real clean-up will have to begin, but I’m afraid the money will be gone.”
She used a shovel and dug down six, eight, maybe twelve inches into the sand to show us the layers of oil close to the shoreline.

Presidential Memorandum–Disposing of Unneeded Federal Real Estate
MEMORANDUM FOR THE HEADS OF EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES
SUBJECT: Disposing of Unneeded Federal Real Estate – Increasing Sales Proceeds, Cutting Operating
Costs, and Improving Energy Efficiency
My Administration is committed to eliminating all forms of Government waste and to leading by example as our Nation transitions to a clean energy economy. For decades, the Federal Government, the largest property owner and energy user in the United States, has managed more real estate than necessary to effectively support its programs and missions. Both taxpayer dollars and energy resources are being wasted to maintain these excess assets. In addition, many of the properties necessary for the Government’s work are not operated efficiently, resulting in wasted funds and excessive greenhouse gas pollution. For example, over the past decade, the private sector reduced its data center footprint by capitalizing on innovative technologies to increase efficiencies. However, during that same period, the Federal Government experienced a substantial increase in the number of data centers, leading to increased energy consumption, real property expenditures, and operations and maintenance costs. Past attempts at reducing the Federal Government’s civilian real property assets produced small savings and had a minor impact on the condition and performance of mission-critical properties. These efforts were not sufficiently comprehensive in disposing of excess real estate and did not emphasize making more efficient use of existing assets.
To eliminate wasteful spending of taxpayer dollars, save energy and water, and further reduce greenhouse gas pollution, I hereby direct executive departments and agencies (agencies) to accelerate efforts to identify and eliminate excess properties. Agencies shall also take immediate steps to make better use of remaining real property assets as measured by utilization and occupancy rates, annual operating cost, energy efficiency, and sustainability. To the extent permitted by law, agency actions shall include accelerating cycle times for identifying excess assets and disposing of surplus assets; eliminating lease arrangements that are not cost effective; pursuing consolidation opportunities within and across agencies in common asset types (such as data centers, office space, warehouses, and laboratories); increasing occupancy rates in current facilities through innovative approaches to space management and alternative workplace arrangements, such as telework; and identifying offsetting reductions in inventory when new space is acquired. Agency actions taken under this memorandum shall align with and support the actions to measure and reduce resource use and greenhouse gas emissions in Federal facilities pursuant to Executive Order 13514 of October 5, 2009 (Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance), and the Federal Data Center Consolidation Initiative, which was announced by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in February 2010.
In total, agency efforts required by this memorandum should produce no less than $3 billion in cost savings by the end of fiscal year 2012, yielded from increased proceeds from the sale of assets and reduced operating, maintenance, and energy expenses from disposals or other space consolidation efforts, including leases that are ended. This is in addition to the Department of Defense’s Base Realignment and Closure efforts that are expected to achieve $9.8 billion in savings from fiscal year 2010 to fiscal year 2012, of which $5 billion is a direct result of reduced operating and maintenance from disposals or other consolidation efforts. In addition, in order to address the growth of data centers across the Federal Government, agencies shall immediately adopt a policy against expanding data centers beyond current levels, and shall develop plans to consolidate and significantly reduce data centers within 5 years. Agencies shall submit their plans to OMB for review by August 30, 2010.
To achieve these goals, the Director of the OMB shall develop, in consultation with the Administrator of General Services and the Federal Real Property Council established pursuant to Executive Order 13327 of February 4, 2004 (Federal Real Property Asset Management), within 90 days of the date of this memorandum, guidance for actions agencies should take to carry out the requirements of this memorandum. The guidance shall include agency-specific targets to achieve $3 billion in cost savings and shall be developed in consultation with the agencies. The Administrator of General Services, in consultation with the Director of the OMB, shall coordinate agency efforts to satisfy the requirements of this memorandum and shall submit to the President periodic reports on the results achieved.
This memorandum shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.
The Director of the OMB is hereby authorized and directed to publish this memorandum in the Federal Register.

The reason I got so frustrated Tuesday night is because the house in on fire — it’s an inferno. We need firefighters! Eric Massa told me he was going to help make a difference. Instead we got tickle fights and valuable advice like get out and vote — enough about him.
Government is staging a full-fledged control assault on this country and, as much as I wish this weren’t true, we are the ones left to fight it. Because apparently there aren’t enough on the inside willing to do so.
Look at this: It’s a map of how much land is owned in America by the federal government. They own nearly 650 million acres of land — almost 30 percent of the land area of the United States.
But look at how it’s distributed: It’s overwhelmingly in the West. Nevada is almost 90 percent federally owned land. Alaska is nearly three quarters federally owned. Compare that to the East. States are in the single digits. Even Texas is only 2 percent federally owned land.
Why isn’t government rushing to “protect” land in, say, Connecticut or New Jersey? Let me show you this: our national resources in comparison to federally owned land. It seems the land we are protecting is also the most oil and natural resource rich land.
Here’s another map: Shale oil is found around the world but the largest deposits by far are in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. Last year, government went after 9 million acres of land in the West in the name of saving the wild horses and stopping any activities that “would destroy the area’s special character.”
Right.
If we tapped these areas, we could be closer to energy independence. You want to pay off the debt? The West is Fort Knox.
The house is on fire! Why wouldn’t they drill there instead of crossing their fingers and hoping someone creates a car that runs on magic fairy dust? I’m not even saying for oil — natural gas! Natural gas.
Here’s the latest land grab and we only know this because of a memo that was leaked: The Obama administration is pursuing 13 million acres through 11 states in the West in the name of “national monuments.” Maybe we’ll get one of Chairman Mao? How about Stalin? He was good at controlling the lands, I hear. And they are doing this without telling anyone. It’s executive order. They don’t care about what you think about it.
So what Obama gives back with one hand, he takes away with the other. Note the terms COST EFFECTIVE in the statement issued by Obama.
It is important the citizens of this country understand what is going on here.
The government is going after ownership of our resources. Period. This includes taking states rights away from the states where water ownership is concerned (see many previous articles here on the subject). It includes limiting our rights to use our land and resources as citizens and land owners. This is important for you to understand.
It also links back to all the information we brought to your attention over the past year on Agenda 21. If you do not know what I am talking about, it’s time you learned. Do a serch on this site for Agenda 21 and you will get a shock.

4th grader Julisa Castillo has been named the junior division champion for the 2010 National Science Fair for her project, “Disproving Global Warming.” The project beat 50,000 other submission from across the US, but the clincher is that the panel of Judges included Al Gore. The NSF panel also included 14 recipients of the President’s National Medal of Science and four former astronauts.
Castillo walked away with a free ride to space camp, a trophy, and a special place in our hearts for daring to challenge the consensus on Global Warming.
She serves as the most positive example of a balanced education that we’ve run into this year. Given both sides of the debate, Castillo was able to draw her own conclusions on the topic. It is this type of reward that motives us and the Independent Women’s Forum to continue pushing for a Balanced Education for Everyone, and bring these types of lessons to schools around the nation.
I am not sure what to make of this, but I find it interesting that the panel included Mr Gore. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a balanced education for our kids instead of forcing altered history and science down their throats? We can only hope. |

Bombshell expose’. The real reason the oil still flows into the Gulf of Mexico.
As you know, the Deep Water Horizon has exploded in the Gulf of Mexico. It has been spewing oil from a ruptured wellpipe for over a month.
BP and the US Government has said they are trying everything possible to stop that multi million gallon oil from continuing to flow into the Gulf.
I am about to dispute that claim and offer an expose’ as to why that story about them doing everything possible is a lie and a profitable enterprise to those who would make money from this disaster.
The Top Kill method was started and suspended several times. It was being attempted only half heartedly. The reason is, there is no money to be made with a solution that simple.
The real money is in the use of dispersements.
There is a company called NALCO. They make water purification systems and chemical dispersements.
NALCO is based in Chicago with subsidiaries in Brazil, Russia, India, China and Indonesia.
NALCO is associated with UChicago Argonne program. UChicago Argonne received $164 million dollars in stimulus funds this past year. UChicago Argonne just added two new executives to their roster. One from NALCO. The other from the Ill. Dept of Educaution.
If you dig a little deeper you will find NALCO is also associated with Warren Buffett, Maurice Strong, Al Gore, Soros, Apollo, Blackstone, Goldman Sachs, Hathaway Berkshire.
Warren Buffet /Hathaway Berkshire increased their holdings in NALCO just last November. (Timing is everything).
The dispersant chemical is known as Corexit. What it does is hold the oil below the water’s surface. It is supposed to break up the spill into smaller pools. It is toxic and banned in Europe.
NALCO says they are using older and newer versions of Corexit in the Gulf.. (Why would you need a newer version, if the old one was fine?)
There is big money and even bigger players in this scam. While they are letting the oil blow wide open into the Gulf, the stakes and profit rise.
The Dolphins, Whales, Manatees, Sea Turtles and fish suffocate and die. The coastal regions, salt marshes, tourist attractions and the shore front properties are being destroyed, possibly permanently.The air quality is diminished. The Gulf of Mexico fishing industry is decimated.
All to create a need for their expensive and extremely profitable poison.

BP Embraces Exxon’s Toxic Dispersant, Ignores Safer Alternative
It has been confirmed that the dispersal agent being used by BP and the government is Corexit 9500 , a solvent originally developed by Exxon and now manufactured by Nalco Holding Company of Naperville, IL. Their stock took a sharp jump, up more than 18% at its highest point of the day today, after it was announced that their product is the one being used in the Gulf. Nalco’s CEO, Erik Frywald, expressed their commitment to “helping the people and environment of the Gulf Coast recover as rapidly as possible.” It may be that the best way to help would be to remove their product from the fray. Take a look at some of the facts about Corexit 9500:
A report written by Anita George-Ares and James R. Clark for Exxon Biomedical Sciences, Inc. entitled “Acute Aquatic Toxicity of Three Corexit Products: An Overview ” states that “Corexit 9500, Corexit 9527, and Corexit 9580 have moderate toxicity to early life stages of fish, crustaceans and mollusks (LC50 or EC50 – 1.6 to 100 ppm*). It goes on to say that decreasing water temperatures in lab tests showed decreased toxicity, a lowered uptake of the dispersant. Unfortunately, we’re going to be seeing an increase in temperatures, not a decrease. Amongst the other caveats is that the study is species-specific, that other animals may be more severely affected, silver-sided fish amongst them.

GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 12, 2009 – Science magazine has published a paper by Colorado School of Mines doctoral graduate student Matthew Walsh, and faculty and co-directors of the Center for Hydrate Research (CHR), Carolyn Koh, E. Dendy Sloan, Amadeu Sum, and David Wu — “Microsecond Simulations of Spontaneous Methane Hydrate Nucleation and Growth.”
The article was recently featured on “Science Express,” the magazine’s web site that highlights selected articles that will appear in upcoming print issues.
Wu explains gas hydrates as vast untapped energy reserves found in the ocean and the permafrost that are also a potential storage medium for hydrogen fuel or sequestering carbon dioxide. Hydrates currently pose the greatest challenge in the delivery of oil and gas in pipelines, which can be plugged by the formation of hydrates, he said. The Mines research reported in Science helps explain how hydrates form, and could eventually lead to ways to control their growth.
“Methane hydrates form at high pressures and low temperatures, and have an unusual crystalline structure in which water molecules form cages around individual methane molecules, ” Wu said. “How such complex structures form is notoriously difficult to study since the process of nucleation is a rare random event that happens in a few nanoseconds and at a random location over a few nanometers.”

The scale and carnage of BP’s recent oil
spill disaster continues to grow on a daily basis. The Wall Street Journal, citing industry experts, on Friday estimated the size of the continuing oil leak at 25,000 barrels a day (up from the U.S. government’s Thursday estimate of 5,000 barrels a day). BP shares have fallen 12% since the disaster.
The accident has forced President Barack Obama to put on hold politically sensitive plans to expand offshore U.S. oil drilling . In March, President Obama unveiled plans for a limited expansion, in part to try to win Republican support for climate change legislation. The White House announced Saturday morning the President will travel to the gulf coast today to get an update on efforts to contain the massive spill.
Yesterday news reports that several banks (including Goldman Sachs, GS and Citigroup, C ), recommended buying BP shares. They argue investors are over reacting since the April 20 explosion.
Yesterday oil giant BP (BP) released news that it has tested the dispersants (manufactured by Nalco Holding Co. (HAL)), on Friday night and authorized it’s use on a larger scale. BP also added, it is looking for additional suppliers to begin manufacturing the material in mass quantities.

The wellpipe rupture was a “Convenient” accident. The officials have no intention of stopping that oil spewing into the Gulf. They scammed us with the Dome experiment. They used the Top Kill method as a ruse to make us believe they were trying something. I’m sure they had many calls to use a method that has been around for decades and being used successfully many times.
It’s all about the profit.
This expose has shown Who, what, when, where and why, the dithering.
It’s about the dispersements, the stimulus, the billionaires who are vested in NALCO, the scientists who are all onboard with the green agenda, Chicago and blatant deception.

GOLDEN, Colo., Oct. 12, 2009 – Science magazine has published a paper by Colorado School of Mines doctoral graduate student Matthew Walsh, and faculty and co-directors of the Center for Hydrate Research (CHR), Carolyn Koh, E. Dendy Sloan, Amadeu Sum, and David Wu — “Microsecond Simulations of Spontaneous Methane Hydrate Nucleation and Growth.”
The article was recently featured on “Science Express,” the magazine’s web site that highlights selected articles that will appear in upcoming print issues.
Wu explains gas hydrates as vast untapped energy reserves found in the ocean and the permafrost that are also a potential storage medium for hydrogen fuel or sequestering carbon dioxide. Hydrates currently pose the greatest challenge in the delivery of oil and gas in pipelines, which can be plugged by the formation of hydrates, he said. The Mines research reported in Science helps explain how hydrates form, and could eventually lead to ways to control their growth.
“Methane hydrates form at high pressures and low temperatures, and have an unusual crystalline structure in which water molecules form cages around individual methane molecules, ” Wu said. “How such complex structures form is notoriously difficult to study since the process of nucleation is a rare random event that happens in a few nanoseconds and at a random location over a few nanometers.”

The scale and carnage of BP’s recent oil spill disaster continues to grow on a daily basis. The Wall Street Journal, citing industry experts, on Friday estimated the size of the continuing oil leak at 25,000 barrels a day (up from the U.S. government’s Thursday estimate of 5,000 barrels a day). BP shares have fallen 12% since the disaster.
The accident has forced President Barack Obama to put on hold politically sensitive plans to expand offshore U.S. oil drilling . In March, President Obama unveiled plans for a limited expansion, in part to try to win Republican support for climate change legislation. The White House announced Saturday morning the President will travel to the gulf coast today to get an update on efforts to contain the massive spill.
Yesterday news reports that several banks (including Goldman Sachs, GS and Citigroup, C ), recommended buying BP shares. They argue investors are over reacting since the April 20 explosion.
Yesterday oil giant BP (BP) released news that it has tested the dispersants (manufactured by Nalco Holding Co. (HAL)), on Friday night and authorized it’s use on a larger scale. BP also added, it is looking for additional suppliers to begin manufacturing the material in mass quantities.

Calling all Tea Party groups, tea partiers, twitterers, Facebookers et al, it’s “Tough Love” time!
I’m sure all of you have heard the words “this is serious” and these three little words have become banal to you all.
Many of us Conservatives seem to be “riding high” on the presumption that the November elections will be a slam-dunk for us all. However: money, great candidates and astute campaign managers cannot be assumed to be a winning combination and is no guarantee against the corrupt Godfather-tactics of the “Community Organizer-in-Chief” in the Oval Office and his elite OFA (Organizing for America) forces. And money is no obstacle.
Several months ago in conjunction with Anita Moncrief I warned against the ongoing threat of OFA.
Just to make sure everyone realizes the fact below, SO LET ME BE PERFECTLY CLEAR:

I’ve tried to get the attention of my own reps in Congress, the GOP, politicians on twitter, Michael Steele. You name it. My pleas have either gone ignored or I have received the response of:

Sort of like the scorpion or rattlesnake waiting outside your hotel or bedroom window. NOT a comforting thought.
So this is how it is going to be. We are on our own. We are going to have no choice but to counter-act them ourselves. I went undercover for the third time last week with a conference call to Ohio Lt. Governor Lee Fisher (Dem) who won the Ohio US Senate primary against Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner. I again pretended to be one of “them.” Ohio is a true battleground state and is usually a deciding state not only in presidential elections but mid-term elections as well.
You are all saying “well, Brunner lost the primary to Lee Fisher. But she ain’t a threat anymore.” WRONG! Soros-funded and ACORN- backed Brunner is still in charge of the November election and I don’t believe anything will be different this go-around. Even though she lost the primary corrupt Brunner will still be on Obama’s side and stop at nothing as she did in 2008 to pull out all the stops to put and keep Dems in office. Could be she was promised something by Zero for a “great performance”?.. Lest you forget how Election 2008 went in Ohio here is a recap. And back in February Hotline On Call announced the ODP (Ohio Democratic Party) will build a “firewall” to insure Obama is again re-elected in 2012:
The ODP has been deploying staffers all across the state for a road show known as the “Knockout” program. The program aims to “knockout the Republicans for the next decade [by] motivating activists to get involved early and often.[sic] The ODP plans to hold these “Knockout” events in all 88 counties, and in doing so, they’re lengthening their volunteer list. What’s more, ODP field staffers say they’re supplying those volunteers with access to some of their best data to make them most effective now.
Fisher announced on the call last week that Obama will be bringing his artillery to Ohio, rolling out his dreaded OFA “rapid response” teams and included will be at least one, but probably more, “appearances” by the Organizer-in-Chief himself.
