Our friend, Lord Monckton spoke late last week at the Second International Climate Conference where he discussed Climategate and the key players involved in the scandal. Although receiving a whopping $21,000,000 in public funding, their findings were not developed around science, but rather the politics of the global warming agenda.
This 35 minute video is well worth your time. Even in the first ten minutes, Lord Monckton uses a Karl Rove / Ross Perot strategy of graphs and charts to clearly illustrate the ACTUAL data and how these scientists faked the results.
This is a must see not only for those who do not yet understand the truth on the green agenda, but should also be viewed by those who do. Lots of information here that is a must know for anyone living on the planet. Lord Monckton asks specifically to share this video with everyone.
Be sure to sign the petition Lord Monckton discusses. You will find the link to the petition beneath the video.

Back in March, President Obama, with Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner by his side, announced he would be hiring an additional 800 IRS Agents to “detect and pursue” American tax evaders and off shore tax shelters. He estimated his plan would bring in $210 billion in new taxes over 10 years.
“Nobody likes paying taxes, particularly in times of economic stress,” Obama said. “But most Americans meet their responsibilities because they understand that it’s an obligation of citizenship, necessary to pay the costs of our common defense and our mutual well-being.”
According to Vice-President Biden, it’s down right patriotic to pay taxes.
An article online at Fox Business, points out nine of Obama’s nominees have had issues around paying their taxes. They are:
- Lael Brainard, nominee for Treasury Undersecretary of International Affairs
- Capricia Marshall, Chief of protocol for the State Department
- Kathleen Sebelius, secretary, Health and Human Services
- Ron Kirk, Trade Representative: The former mayor of Dallas, Tex
- Caroline Atkinson, Treasury Undersecretary of International Affairs
- Tom Daschle, nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services
- Nancy Killefer, nominee, Administration’s Chief Performance Officer
- Hilda Solis, Secretary of Labor’s husband
- Timothy Geithner, Secretary of the Treasury, the man who oversees the IRS
In late Februrary, ABC news online said the new administration would bring in $989,000,000,000 dollars in new taxes over ten years. They detailed Obama’s budget proposals this way:
1) On people making more than $250,000.
- $338 billion – Bush tax cuts expire
$179 billion – eliminate itemized deduction
$118 billion – capital gains tax hike
- Total: $636,000,000,000 /10 years
2) On Businesses:
- $17 billion – Reinstate Superfund taxes
$24 billion – tax carried-interest as income
$5 billion – codify “economic substance doctrine”
$61 billion – repeal LIFO
$210 billion – international enforcement, reform deferral, other tax reform
$4 billion – information reporting for rental payments
$5.3 billion – excise tax on Gulf of Mexico oil and gas
$3.4 billion – repeal expensing of tangible drilling costs
$62 million – repeal deduction for tertiary injectants
$49 million – repeal passive loss exception for working interests in oil and natural gas properties
$13 billion – repeal manufacturing tax deduction for oil and natural gas companies
$1 billion – increase to 7 years geological and geophysical amortization period for independent producers
$882 million – eliminate advanced earned income tax credit
- Total: $353,000,000,000 /10 years
But really, aren’t taxes on businesses just hidden taxes on low, middle and upper income Americans?
They are also going to let the estate tax rate go back to 55% for people with estates over one million dollars. That’s not just the rich. It’s any parent who has worked their whole lives on a family farm or at a mom-and-pop business, and wishes to pass it on to their kids. Almost no family can fork over 55% of the value of the farm in order to keep it. How is it moral to deny that family that right? It simply is not.
Those numbers also do not include the two big “Silver bullets” now pending in Washington.
to want to report on. This report discusses “the effects of the new tax rules included in the Senate health-care bill”.
I urge you to look at the three page document, but in total, from 2010 to 2019 it says the 16 NEW taxes or regulations leading to new taxes called for in the bill will total $371,900,000,000. And where do taxes come from? From you of course. In one way or the other.
These include 40% excise tax on private health care insurance policies costing over $8500, Employer W-2 reporting of those benefits as salary to workers, reconfiguring the definition for health savings accounts, etc. to meet the definition of itemized deduction for medical expenses, increase penalty for nonqualified health savings account distributions to 20%, limit health flexible spending arrangements in cafeteria plans to $2500, require information reporting on payments to corporations, adding additional requirements for section 501(c)(3) hospitals, impose annual fee on manufacturers and importers of branded drugs, impose annual fee on manufacturers and importers of medical devices, impose annual fee on health insurance providers, eliminate deduction for expenses allocable to Medicare Part D subsidy, raise 7.5% AGI floor on medical expense deduction to 10%, create $500K deduction limit on taxable year remuneration to officers, employees, directors, and service providers of covered health insurance providers, add additional 0.5% hospital insurance tax on wages in excess of $200,000 ($250K joint), Modify section 833 treatment of certain health organizations, impose 5% tax on cosmetic surgery and similar procedures, provide income EXCLUSION for specified Indian tribe health benefits, create simple cafeteria plan nondiscrimination safe harbor for certain small employers, qualify therapeutic discovery project credit, impose fee on insured and self-insured health plans.
Then there’s Cap and Tax, or what I like to call “The Breath Tax”. Senator James Inhofe recently called the Cap and Trade Bill the largest tax in the history of America. I like to call it the Largest Scam In the History of Earth. Either way, it’s another ill conceived burden on the taxpayers of America.
I can not seem to find a detailed account of the direct impact on the amount of taxes you will owe the government if Cap and Trade passes. Let me tell you what I do know. According to Heritage Foundation the United Nations tells us we, as taxpayers, will give India and China $5,500,000,000,000 over the next ten years to help them develop a greener economy. That’s $5.5 TRILLION. This does not even count the $9,400,000,000,000 GDP loses from 2012-2035 we will incur due to the legislation. This also does not count the $1300 it adds to each new car purchased, the doubling of our cost of electricity or the impact that will have on the price of goods and services, nor the snowball effect that will have on jobs and the economy as a whole.
Christina Romer, the chair of Obama’s Council of Economic Advisors, calculates a 1 percent increase in taxes reduces economic output by 2 to 3 percent over the following three years. The Congressional Budget Office estimates that the cap-and-trade scheme will collect about $80 billion per year in revenues, a figure that represents about 3 percent federal tax increase. So if logic is to follow, that would equal tax revenue of $800,000,000,000 over ten years, would it not?
So, add it all up. That brings in OVER $2,500,000,000,000 across a ten year period – two and a half trillion dollars. That would equal nearly $1000 PER CAPITA in new tax hikes per year, over and above what you already pay, and not including the adverse impact this will have on the cost of goods and services you require to survive.
That’s just what I could identify. There’s much more, I’m sure. Couple that with the increase in “friendliness” at the IRS and I’m sure the number will grow from there. Apparently, if you’re not well connected with the current administration, you most likely will be expected to pay YOUR taxes.
No wonder President Obama calls his programs deficit neutral. In his eyes they are. He just has to pump us for everything we have. This administration does not care about the little people – it’s obvious. This administration does not care about jobs – it’s evident. This administration merely cares about the agenda brought forth to “fundamentally transform America”.

FOCUS IS NOW ON HEALTH CARE REFORM LEGISLATION- BUT MANY OTHER PERILS ARE IN OUR IMMEDIATE FUTURE:
UN CLIMATE SCIENTISTS and other Government Scientists SPEAK OUT ON GLOBAL WARMING
“Controlling carbon is kind of a bureaucrat’s dream.
If you control carbon, you control life.”
– MIT Climate Scientist Dr. Richard Lindzen, UN IPCC lead author and reviewer.
Per Senator Inhofe’s website: The Senate climate debate has largely been in standby mode since June, but Environment and Public Works Chairwoman Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) is ready to kick-start the process with the release next week of a draft bill. Sources off Capitol Hill say they expect Boxer to start legislative hearings during the week of Oct. 5, with a tentative markup penciled in for the week of Oct. 12. Of course, much depends on the fate of the Senate health care bill, just how quick U.S. EPA can turn around an economic analysis of Boxer’s legislation and whether the chairwoman wants to satisfy key moderates on her panel, which include Sens. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and Arlen Specter (D-Pa.). Here is the House version that passed http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h2454/show

At link above you will find the 225 page 2009 Minority Report “..Scientists Debunk Global Warming Crisis”
One scientist, DR. JOHN T. EVERETT, UN IPCC lead author and reviewer, led work on five impact analyses for the IPCC including Fisheries, Polar Regions, Oceans and Coastal Zones. a former National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) senior manager, project manager for the UN Atlas of the Oceans, said “It is time for a reality check,” Warming is not a big deal and is not a bad thing, The oceans and coastal zones have been far warmer and colder than is projected in the present scenarios of climate change. I would much rather have the present warm climate, and even further warming, than the next ice age that will bring temperatures much colder than even today. The NOAA PaleoClimate Program shows us that when the dinosaurs roamed the earth, the earth was much warmer, the CO2 levels were 2 to 4 times higher, and coral reefs were much more expansive. The earth was so productive then that we are still using the oil, coal, and gas it generated. For most life in the oceans, warming means faster growth, reduced energy requirements to stay warm, lower winter mortalities, and wider ranges of distribution,” he explained. “No one knows whether the Earth is going to keep warming, or since reaching a peak in 1998, we are at the start of a cooling cycle that will last several decades or more.” The quotes from 700+ scientists go on from there. Proof there is no concensus at all.
Despite tax dollars being spent on a report, in which consensus is Global Warming Science is not based on science at all, but rather a ploy by the UN and governments worldwide to take control, many of your elected officials refuse to back down.
At http://www.petitionproject.org/
you’ll see that
31,478 American scientists have signed a petition, including 9,029 with PhDs signed a petition. The purpose of the Petition Project is to demonstrate that the claim of “settled science” and an overwhelming “consensus” in favor of the hypothesis of human-caused global warming and consequent climatological damage is wrong. No such consensus or settled science exists. As indicated by the petition text and signatory list, a very large number of American scientists reject this hypothesis.
Proved: There is No Climate Crisis -Written by Robert Ferguson (July 2008)
http://scienceandpublicpolicy.org/press/proved_no_climate_crisis.html
Mathematical proof that there is no “climate crisis” appears today in a major, peer-reviewed paper in Physics and Society, a learned journal of the 4,600-strong American Physical Society, SPPI reports. Christopher Monckton, who once advised Margaret Thatcher, demonstrates via 30 equations that computer models used by the UN’s climate panel (IPCC) were pre-programmed with overstated values for the three variables whose product is “climate sensitivity” (temperature increase in response to greenhouse-gas increase), resulting in a 500-2000% overstatement of CO2’s effect on temperature in the IPCC’s latest climate assessment report, published in 2007.
Climate Sensitivity Reconsidered [http://www.aps.org/units/fps/newsletters/200807/index.cfm] demonstrates that later this century a doubling of the concentration of CO2 compared with pre-industrial levels will increase global mean surface temperature not by the 6 °F predicted by the IPCC but, harmlessly, by little more than 1 °F.
The CBO released a report touting the detrimental impact on the nations families over time, and this research is MODEST based on other reports that call it cataclysmic to American families and impotent against it’s portended goals. Although it was widely reported the CBO, as is not unusual, underestimated the cost to Americans. The bill is fraudulent and based on ficticious science perpetrated only to gain tax reciepts for the government, profit for GE and Goldman Sachs, power for the UN.
Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) stated way back in a 2003 press release : http://inhofe.senate.gov/pressreleases/climate.htm
“One very critical element to our success as policymakers is how we use science. That is especially true for environmental policy, which relies very heavily on science. I have insisted that federal agencies use the best, non-political science to drive decision-making. Strangely, I have been harshly criticized for taking this stance. To the environmental extremists, my insistence on sound science is outrageous. For them, a “pro-environment” philosophy can only mean top-down, command-and-control rules dictated by bureaucrats. Science is irrelevant-instead, for extremists, politics and power are the motivating forces for making public policy.
“Over the past 2 hours, I have offered compelling evidence that catastrophic global warming is a hoax. That conclusion is supported by the painstaking work of the nation’s top climate scientists.
What have those scientists concluded? The Kyoto Protocol has no environmental benefits; natural variability, not fossil fuel emissions, is the overwhelming factor influencing climate change; satellite data, confirmed by NOAA balloon measurements, confirms that no meaningful warming has occurred over the last century; and climate models predicting dramatic temperature increases over the next 100 years are flawed and highly imperfect.
Finally I will return to the words of Dr. Frederick Seitz, a past president of the National Academy of Sciences, and a professor emeritus at Rockefeller University, who compiled the Oregon Petition:
But if the relationship between public policy and science is distorted for political ends, the result is flawed policy that hurts the environment, the economy, and the people we serve.” …
“Over the past 2 hours, I have offered compelling evidence that catastrophic global warming is a hoax. That conclusion is supported by the painstaking work of the nation’s top climate scientists. Finally I will return to the words of Dr. Frederick Seitz, a past president of the National Academy of Sciences, and a professor emeritus at Rockefeller University, who compiled the Oregon Petition:

“There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere and disruption of the Earth’s climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.”
These are sobering words, which the extremists have chosen to ignore. So what could possibly be the motivation for global warming alarmism? Since I’ve become chairman of the EPW Committee, it’s become pretty clear: fundraising. Environmental extremists rake in million of dollars, not to solve environmental problems, but to fuel their ever-growing fundraising machines, part of which are financed by federal taxpayers.
So what have we learned from the scientists and economists I’ve talked about today?
The claim that global warming is caused by man-made emissions is simply untrue and not based on sound science.
C02 does not cause catastrophic disasters-actually it would be benefitical to our environment and our economy.
Kyoto would improse huge costs on Americans, especially the poor.
The motives for Kyoto are economic not environmental-that is, proponents favor handicapping the Amverican economy through carbon taxes and more regulations.
With all of the hysteria, all of the fear, all of the phony science, could it be that man-made global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people? It sure sounds like it. “
And yet, Democrats and those aligning themselves with the environmental justice crowd in Washington insist on getting Cap and Trade legislation passed. They must be stopped.

How Politicians and the Media Change Our Minds By Paul Murdock at Campaign For Liberty
http://www.campaignfo…
Unbeknownst to us, our lives are filled with messages that have a profound effect on our emotions, beliefs, values, and behaviors. These messages can be as obvious as a tornado siren in Kansas or as secretive and stealthy as the viruses and bacteria that invade your biological organs. What is guaranteed is that, for good or evil, the message never ends, and its impact is powerful! …Although most intelligent individuals recognize bias, the inundating messages unconsciously lead to helplessness, apathy, and eventually acquiescence. In other words, the totality of the messages eventually destroys most individual defenses! Even when we are aware! For example, if individuals are consistently faced with “supposed facts and experts” from the media, professors, politicians, and corporations, values, ideals, and behavior is subtly manipulated like a river that never ceases to erode its banks. It will eventually get deeper and wider. What then can be done to minimize the persuasiveness of those in control? In the words of George Bernard Shaw, “Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance.” Social control is dependent on providing one point of view and limiting knowledge and contrary viewpoints. The U.S. constitution became great because it was “the single greatest effort of national deliberation that the world has ever seen” (John Adams). It is vital to openly debate topics, engage in fruitful discussion, and play devil’s advocate. Practice responding to propaganda, thinking rationally about the issues, attempt to understand the full range of options, avoid being dependent on a single news source, monitor your emotions, and be prepared to challenge the “group.”
Many unanswered questions about Hoyer, $18 million Recovery.gov redesign award by Mark Tapscott at Washington Examiner http://tinyurl.com/nv…
One of the great things about journalism is that you never know where a story is going to lead. So it was earlier this week when I saw a notice that the federal government had awarded an $18 million, multi-year contract to redesign the Recovery.gov web site to Smartronix, an obscure Maryland firm. Recovery.gov is the federal government’s web site that is supposed to provide up-to-date data on how funds are being spent under the $787 billion economic stimulus bill that was approved by Congress in February. The site has been criticized by folks across the political spectrum for being full of praise for the Obama administration but lacking in timely data on recovery spending. The amount struck me as excessive, even for a government web site, the multi-year duration also seemed a bit odd, and a quick scan of the Smartronix web site disclosed that it was a defense firm that had received more than $260 million in federal contracts, but with no obvious claims to special experience or skills for web site design. So I queried my colleagues on the Examiner’s commentary staff. Within five minutes, David Freddoso emailed back the news that several Smartonix executives had made $19,000 in contributions to House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer since 1999, and that it appeared those were their only contributions. Those (questions brought by author in full article) are extremely relevant questions since Lundberg’s statement makes clear that there is indeed a relationship between Hoyer and Smartronix. The nature of that relationship is of interest because there is no FEC record of political donations by the Smartronix executives to any other federal office holder, the $18 million award and the RFP that produced it are raising multiple eyebrows among knowledgeable web designers, Smartronix refuses to discuss the controversy and Lundberg refuses to clarify the nature of the relationship between her boss and Smartronix. Stay tuned.
Coming: A New Definition of “Road Tax”– By Henry Lamb for Canada Free Press
http://canadafreepres…
It’s coming. With a $16 million grant from the federal government, the University of Iowa is developing a Global Positioning Satellite system that can measure the mileage, apply a variable tax rate that will increase during rush hours, and in high-traffic areas, calculate the total, charge a designated account card, and shut down your automobile if unpaid when due. Some 2700 automobiles in five states will be used in the test. The new by-the-mile tax system will give government much more than a new tax collection mechanism; it will give government much greater control over everyone. The new GM, now owned by the government, can install this new system in all of its vehicles. All that’s needed is an instruction from the car-czar. Auto makers that have not yet been taken over by the government can be required to install the system quite easily, by regulation or legislation. With such a system in every vehicle, the government can have virtual control over the population. Purchase of a vehicle will give the government a database containing the name and residence location of every automobile owner. Since the system has the ability to record and track the geographic location of the vehicle at every moment of the day or night – only for the purpose of applying the correct tax rate, of course – government can know where your vehicle is at any moment. Frightened yet? This is not hocus-pocus conspiracy-theory nonsense. The National Surface Transportation Infrastructure Financing Commission has unanimously endorsed the scheme. A past president of the Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials says that several states have considered not waiting for the federal government, and implementing this system within their states. It is on the horizon, and currently targeted for implementation by 2020.

Card Check In Senate Next Month
It’s About Freedom Not Fear by Tim Cameron at American Solutions
Our polling shows that the American people are firmly on the side of supporting a worker’s right to a secret ballot election. In fact, the tri-partisan agreement to defend this right is overwhelming, as 77% of Republicans, 82% of Democrats, and 79% of independents believe in protecting private ballots. Support for private ballots is so broad it also spanned union households and every subgroup examined, including majorities of every age, race, geographic group and both genders. So, once again…. why are our representatives in Senate and Congress working against our wishes??????? Put the pressure on.. sign the petition at link above.

Europe Encourages Higher Taxes In America … Heritage Foundation
The solution, according to the Prime Minister, is obvious: make sure people don’t have any other options. In his words, “deeper co-operation is therefore necessary if tax revenues are to be increased in a way that truly helps fiscal consolidation.” If everyone agrees to raise taxes together, then there will be no tax competition, and an enormous obstacle in the way of building the ever-bigger state will have been blown away. But the real prize for the EU lies in the US. The goal of all this Euro-coordination, the Prime Minister argues, is to “encourage the US – with lower tax levels in most areas – to do what has to be done to address its spiraling budget deficit.” Well, we can agree that the U.S. has a spiraling budget deficit. But what the EU is after is to convince the U.S. that lower American taxes – to the extent that they are, in fact, lower – need to be raised in order to reduce tax competition and thereby make life easier for big-spending European welfare states.
Dems Backtrack, Scrap Plans for Probe Into Scandal-Tarnished ACORN …Washington Times
House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr. has backed off his plan to investigate wrongdoing by the liberal activist group ACORN, saying “powers that be” put the kibosh on the idea. Mr. Conyers, Michigan Democrat, earlier bucked his party leaders by calling for hearings on accusations the Association of Community Organization for Reform Now (ACORN) has committed crimes ranging from voter fraud to a mob-style “protection” racket. “The powers that be decided against it,” Mr. Conyers told The Washington Times.
Al Gore and his Ponzi Scheme
An environmental start-up backed by Al Gore’s venture capital firm aims to take advantage of coming U.S. climate change legislation by helping companies like Coca Cola and even cities cut pollution. Hara, a 25-employee company that debuted in 2008, provides online software to help companies reduce their carbon footprint — a $2.5 billion market that will grow 10-fold if the proposed energy bill, which will require companies to get permits for emissions, becomes law, Chief Executive Amit Chatterjee said. Steve Milloy has this to say about the sordid affair: “Operating as a stealth tax, cap-and-trade will make the vast majority of Americans poorer and less free — but Al Gore, Kleiner Perkins, Amit Chatterjee and Hara will be laughing all the way to the bank.”

HR 675. Obama’s way around Posse Comitatus
In January, without any recognizable corporate media coverage, Rep. Bob Filner, a California Democrat, introduced HR 675. The bill would amend title 10 of the United States Code and extend to civilian employees of the Department of Defense the authority to execute warrants, make arrests, and carry firearms. The bill was referred to the Armed Services Committee on January 26, 2009. H.R. 675 sidesteps Posse Comitatus by defining “law enforcement officer of the Department of Defense” as “a civilian employee of the Department of Defense,” including federal police officers, detectives, criminal investigators, special agents, and game law enforcement officers classified by the Office of Personnel Management Occupational Series 0083 (the United States Office of Personnel Management is described as an “independent agency” of the U.S. government that manages the civil service of the federal government). Members of the DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce shall be organized, trained, cleared, equipped, and ready to deploy in support of combat operations by the military; contingencies; emergency operations; humanitarian missions; disaster relief; restoration of order; drug interdiction; and stability operations of the Department of Defense in accordance with DoDD 3000.05.

UN Conference on the World Financial and Economic Crisis
This is a follow up to the weekend news of the impending Global Tax perpetuated by the UN on us. The conference was last week. Above is the speach given by the UN Administrator of Development Program. Basically it says they need the money to continue it’s works in Africa and other areas around the world and that the global economic crisis is no excuse for not continuing with the plan. The conference adopts the finalized 16-page document. It reminds the industrialized countries of their promise at the G20 summit in London to pour more than a trillion dollars to stimulate world economy. The move also calls for a greater share of the global stimulus fund for developing countries. Furthermore, it requires an overhaul of international financial institutions, as well as more influence of the United Nations in future negotiations. Immediately after the signing and adoption of the program, the U.S. signified its concerns. The country asserts that the reform of financial institutions could only be made by respective UN members and not by the United Nations as a whole. Of particular interest is the paragraph numbered 14 in this document:
Congress is killing U.S. softly with too many laws and too much red tape by Hugh Hewitt
The Obama/Pelosi/Reid Democrats in charge of everything in Washington have decided to order everything on the menu, and a permanent class of government-addicted elites –lawyers, economists, think-tankers, MSMers, senior bureaucrats– are cheering them on because the growth in the size and complexity of government means a growth in the demand curve for specialist services at specialist prices. A country struggling to get through the worst recession since the Great Depression cannot imagine that its elected representatives are pushing the imposition of vast new taxes and the creation of gigantic new bureaucracies, but it is.
More on Friday’s Passage of Cap & Trade in House.. some call it Treason, others call it Rape of Taxpayers, It Can Not Stand
The “American Clean Energy and Security” Rip-Off By Peter Orvetti
As its sponsors struggled to make it palatable to representatives from energy-producing states, the bill swelled from 942 pages to over 1,200, leaving undecided members little time to digest the new material. This brings to mind Rep. John Conyers’s admission to Michael Moore that members of Congress “don’t really read most of the bills” they vote for, because it would “slow down the legislative process.”.. A Center for Data Analysis study concludes ACES will hurt the gross domestic product by $9.4 trillion by 2035 and cost the average family $1,241 per year. That’s because, as the Wall Street Journal put it last week, “the whole point of cap and trade is to hike the price of electricity and gas so that Americans will use less. These higher prices will show up not just in electricity bills or at the gas station but in every manufactured good, from food to cars.” A British analysis finds the average family there is paying nearly $1,300 a year for carbon-cutting programs that were introduced just a few years ago.
Map Showing Each States Obligation (New Taxes) Under Cap and Trade
And there’s the rub. America possesses vast untapped reserves of natural gas and an abundance of coal with which to generate electricity. But environmental opposition prevents exploitation of our natural gas reserves. And the green position that there is no such thing as “clean coal,” combined with environmentalists’ skill at using the judicial process to obtain goals they cannot achieve in the legislature, has caused the cancellation of numerous coal plants.

Cap and Trade PASSED in the House…. meaning you will pay increased taxes on EVERY SINGLE THING YOU PURCHASE, if the Senate also passes this bill. The taxes will amount to thousands of dollars per year for the average family. Utility billls will double. Gasoline will rise substantially. This will also allow the government to dictate, no mandate, the use of every ounce of water, every bit of energy and every product whose production causes carbon to be emmited that you use. Furthermore, the bill leaves wide open changes to it as the government sees fit. As well California building standards are mandated throughout the rest of the country under the bill, along with a grading system for every home (existing and future) to calculate the amount of energy it uses. From windows to appliances and everything in between, the formula will calculate a number, a grade if you will, which you will have to disclose in order to sell your home at market. The bill does a lot more, but quite frankly who knows what all else it does.. at 1510 pages of legal ease- of which most congressmen did not read… I just plain can’t tell you what else is in the bill. I do know the democrats had only one copy on the floor- one without the 300 + page amendment added in the middle of the night last night- and which they would not allow the republicans to read. I watched this go down today over various wire services, twitter, the internet and television, and I can tell you, today I am the one who is embarassed to be an American. Today I am the one who is not proud of my country. I am proud of the hundreds of thousands of citizens who stood up. Thank you to all of you who did. Now the real fight begins. Every single American citizen needs to stand up and make sure this does not make it through the senate. And all of us need to remember every single name on that yes list… http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll477.xml and vote them out of office faster than they can say Cap and Trade! Here are other bits and pieces I learned over the past 30 hours…. Henry Waxman threatened to have the DCCC Chairman withhold campaign funding for any Democrat that did not vote yes. At the big tax payer funded Luau last night at the White House, President Obama had Rahmbo round up reps who were on the fence or voting no on Cap and Trade today, for a mandated personal one and one confab with the president. Furthermore, the president followed up with a phone call to each one of those he tried to intimidate at the Luau. Just when I had given up on the republicans (well, all politicians) most did stand up for the citizens by casting the correct vote.. THIS TIME. Last night, in the middle of the night, the consumer protections for American families making over 33K for a family of four, were stripped from the bill. This means that any family of four making over 33K per year will now see the increases as described at the top of the newsletter for today. No representative read the bill before voting. The bill will severly impact families and individuals in rural America. City dwellers will fare better. It is rumored that cars will now be manufactured with tracking devices so that they will be able to tax you on each mile you drive, with no break for those who drive for work or live in suburban or rural areas. There are many other rumored portions of the 1510 page bill … it will take time to digest the whole thing.. but also, it is written in a way which you can not understand what it’s saying. That is done on purpose so the bill could be tailored to the whim of the White House.
The House’s unfunny climate tax joke By: Myron Ebell of the Washington Examiner
House Democratic leaders have managed to squeeze a 1510-page energy-rationing bill through the House on a 219 to 212 vote by filling it full of payoffs to special interests, not releasing the full text until 3 AM the night before the vote, and restricting debate to three hours. The process should be an embarrassment to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) and Chairman Henry Waxman (D-Beverly Hills), but once people find out what’s in it, the bill will become an embarrassment to everyone who voted for it. Waxman-Markey has no future in the Senate, and with any luck this first victory for energy-rationing legislation will be the last. I congratulate Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Rep. Joe Barton (R-Tex.) for their magnificent leadership against the bill. On the other hand, the eight Republicans who voted for this monstrosity provided the margin of victory, which suggests that the Republicans in Congress are still in disarray.
As a side note.. Dick Morris said the dems had it locked up but excused the dems in danger of loosing their seat in reelection battles in favor of Republicans who are spineless and would cross the isle to support.

Obma-backed Plan Volunteers Americans for Global Tax by sakerfa
The United Nations is proceeding, with President Obama’s acquiescence, to implement a global plan to create a new international socialist order financed by global taxes on the American people. The Conference on the World Financial and Economic Crisis and its Impact on Development that begins today will consider adoption of a document calling for “new voluntary and innovative sources of financing initiatives to provide additional stable sources of development finance…” This is U.N.-speak for global taxes. They are anything but “voluntary” for the people forced to pay them. The conference was postponed from June 1-3 to June 24-26 at the U.N. in New York. While the “outcome document” has been watered down somewhat from the previous version, it still reaffirms attainment of the U.N.’s Millennium Development Goals, which would require the payment of $845 billion from U.S. taxpayers. A commitment to the MDGs was a stated objective of the Global Poverty Act, which Barack Obama had introduced as a U.S. senator. It requires the U.S. to devote 0.7 percent of Gross National Income to foreign aid. Now, as President, Obama can bypass the Congress and simply direct his Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice to approve the U.N. conference document. Then the pressure will be increased on Congress to come up with the money and satisfy our “international commitments.”
Climate Bill’s Passage ‘unrestrained exercise of raw political power, arm-twisting, intimidation’ By Marc Morano
This passage of this bill does not signify any great “green revolution” or “growing” climate “awareness” on the part of Congress. Instead, the methods and manner that the Pelosi led House achieved final passage, represents nothing more than unrestrained exercise of raw political power, arm-twisting, intimidation and special interest handouts. A bill that is based on crumbling scientific claims and a bill that will have no detectable climate impact.
The American People Have Something to Say by the 912 Project Fan Site http://ow.ly/fXVo
Today the Congress of the United States of America passed a devastating bill that will have a devastatingly negative effect on the American economy, which will make America less competitive in the World environment. Over the past few days people have bombarded the phone lines in Washington, D.C., urging their Representatives to vote no on the Cap and Trade Bill. I was one of them. Most of us, who made these phone calls, made a promise to our Reps. that if they vote in favor of this Bill, we would hold them accountable for their choice to play into the hands of special interest instead of listening to their constituents. Apparently YOU did not hear us. Or, maybe you just don’t give a DAMN what we have to say. By choosing to constantly deny us our right for our voices to be heard, you have made a choice to no longer represent We The People. I promised the Representatives in Iowa that I would make it my mission to attack them in every way I could if they voted yes on the Cap and Trade Bill.
