Climategate Was Only The Latest Nail In the Global Warming Coffin

Posted on December 1, 2009. Filed under: General Info | Tags: , , , |

There has been a lot of unearthing of the falsehoods behind claims of man-made global warming. Climategate was just another nail in the coffin. Blatant indifference to fact came to light earlier this year as well.

In late spring,  there was a vast cover up at EPA over science that didn’t fit the administration’s agenda. View the video from Fox News:

Alan Carlin: ” My view is…there is not currently any reason to regulate carbon dioxide. Global temperatures are roughly where they were in the mid-20th century. They’re not going up. If anything, they’re going down.”

The document prepared for the EPA is available online at Carlin Economics and Science . Carlin said:

On June 25th the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) released a draft copy of my report critical of the science underlying EPA’s proposed position on Endangerment under the Clean Air Act and the role of CO2 in global warming saying:

“The released report is a draft version, prepared under EPA’s unusually short internal review schedule, and thus may contain inaccuracies which were corrected in the final report. While we hoped that EPA would release the final report, we’re tired of waiting for this agency to become transparent, even though its Administrator has been talking transparency since she took office. So we are releasing a draft version of the report ourselves, today,” said CEI General Counsel Sam Kazman.

CEI noted that: Internal EPA email messages, released by CEI earlier that week, indicate that in their view the report was kept under wraps and that I was silenced because of pressure to support the Administration’s agenda of regulating carbon dioxide.

How much evidence do we need the government is cooking the science? What better way to confiscate funds that to initiate a “breath tax”?

It is apparent our government cares nothing of truth, integrity, or acting in the public interest.

Is it any wonder the majority of American’s are not willing to trust them with our environment, our money or our  health care?

News for 07/10/2009- Autos, Traitors, Treaties and Truth

‘Put nothing in writing,’ Browner told auto execs on secret White House CAFE talks; Sensenbrenner wants investigation by Mark Tapscott
Carol Browner, former Clinton administration EPA head and current Obama White House climate czar, instructed auto industry execs “to put nothing in writing, ever” regarding secret negotiations she orchestrated regarding a deal to increase federal Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards. Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-WI, is demanding a congressional investigation of Browner’s conduct in the CAFE talks, saying in a letter to Rep. Henry Waxman, D-CA, that Browner “intended to leave little or no documentation of the deliberations that lead to stringent new CAFE standards.” Federal law requires officials to preserve documents concerning significant policy decisions, so instructing participants in a policy negotation concerning a major federal policy change could be viewed as a criminal act. Sensenbrenner also wants a congressional investigation of why a global warming study by Alan Carlin, an EPA economist who is a career civil servant, was suppressed by EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson and other senior agency officials. The study warned of seriously damaging economic consequences for small businesses if the agency moved to regulate CO2 gases as illegal emissions under the Clean Air Act. The CO2 gases, which are also produced by humans and other air-breathing creatures when they exhale, are viewed by global warming activists as contributing to the trapping of heat in the atmosphere when carbon-based fuels like oil and coal are burned.

Electric Cars May Shift Our Foriegn Dependence from One Dictator To Another from IBD
The GAO report says a plug-in compact car, if recharged at an outlet drawing its power from coal, provides a carbon dioxide savings of only 4% to 5%… Aside from forcing us into less-safe downsized vehicles that increased highway fatalities, the promise of more miles per gallon caused people to drive more miles. The promised energy independence never materialized in the 70’s as we imported more foreign oil than ever before. Okay, so how about a zero-emission source of electricity — nuclear power? The administration has done little to promote it and recently killed the safest place on the planet to store what is erroneously called nuclear waste — at the nuclear repository that was being built at Yucca Mountain, Nev. This “waste” is in the form of spent fuel rods the French and others have safely stored and reprocessed. These rods still contain most of their original energy and reprocessing them makes nuclear power renewable as well as pollution-free. The French get 80% of their electricity from nukes. There are the hazards of the cars themselves, to drivers, passengers and first responders. Then there’s a whole new problem of disposing of a new generation of batteries using lithium. As for the lithium, Bolivia, under the thumb of its leftist leader Evo Morales, has about half the world’s proven reserves. “The United States has supplies of lithium, but if demand for lithium exceeded domestic supplies,” warns the GAO, “the U.S. could substitute reliance on one foreign source (oil) for another (lithium).”

Lindsay Grahm May Support Sotomayor – Drop him an email at http://lgraham.senate… and tell him he is a traitor!

‘The only way she can get derailed is if she performs poorly next week,” acknowledged Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., a Senate Judiciary Committee member. He said he was still undecided, but added, “I honestly think I could vote for her.” (Ed note- so apparently reverse discrimination and activist judges are no problem for Lindsay Graham)

Obama’s Ambitious U.N. Treaty Agenda By Cliff Kincaid

…Senate Democrats have another vote for the U.N.’s Law of Sea Treaty, and there are strong indications that they intend to bring this controversial document up for a vote within days or weeks. Those who favor the U.N. Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) believe that U.S. security lies in passing a treaty and hiring more lawyers to defend America before an international tribunal, rather than building more ships for the Navy and Coast Guard. The anticipated vote on the treaty follows a strong recent push for ratification from the Council on Foreign Relations and newspaper ads in favor of the treaty from the Pew Charitable Trusts, a $5 billion non-profit entity. Plus, the Obama State Dept. sent a document to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on May 11 that declared UNCLOS to be a top priority for the administration. In fact, Obama’s submission to the Foreign Relations Committee names 17 treaties that he wants ratified. So rather than build more ships, we will depend on a piece of paper from the U.N. to safeguard U.S. national security.

Time to De-Centralize American Power By JB Williams

..The United States of America has officially reached the moment in history when the centralized power vested in 546 career politicians no longer serves the best interests of more than 300 million legal American citizens. The federal government no longer exists at the pleasure of the states and their people, but rather as a dysfunctional global dictatorship, an oligarchy of 546 career political thugs ruling with an iron fist over 300 million dissenting subjects. The Founding Fathers knew that this day would come and they prepared accordingly. “whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, [life, liberty and the individual freedom to define and pursue happiness] it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government” – Declaration of Independence. The real power of the people is not in their vote or even the money they send politicians at election time. It’s in their ability to use their local state legislators to force the Fed back into compliance with the contract between the states, the Constitution… If you want your country back, you will have to take it back. (Ed note.. 39 states, including Michigan now have sovereignty legislation pending)

Former Acorn Employee Rethinking It’s Value by Kevin Mooney

MonCrief is a former employee of ACORN and Project Vote affiliate who offered testimony last year in Harrisburg, Pa. as part of an election law suit filed against them. “I’ve always been an outsider in my party because I ask a lot of questions and I didn’t like some of the answers I’ve been getting,” she said. “The problem I have with Democrats is that they promise you the world but then they don’t deliver. I identify now with conservative ideas because the answer is not social welfare. The answer instead comes from being less dependent on the government and keeping families together.” Food stamp and housing assistance programs, for instance, do not provide people with an incentive to get married and to keep husbands and wives together, she said.

Barney Frank: Let’s spend TARP profits before taxpayers can get them by Byron York at the Washington Examiner
The chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, has come up with a proposal to spend any TARP profits before they can be returned to the taxpayers. Frank introduced the “TARP for Main Street Act,” a bill that would take profits from the program and immediately redirect them toward housing proposals favored by Frank and some fellow Democrats. Last month, the General Accountability Office (GAO) reported that, through June 12, 2009, the government had received $6.2 billion in dividend payments. The original TARP legislation required that money made from the program “shall be paid into the general fund of the Treasury for reduction of the public debt.” Frank, however, wants to spend the money before it can be used to pay down anything…..

ACORN’s “Muscle for Money” does the bidding of SEIU By Kevin Mooney at the Washington Examiner
Corporate and political officials who defy workplace and community organizers risk being made objects of scorn by bright red-clad protestors in public and private, courtesy of an activist union and its close allies in the nation’s most controversial liberal non-profit advocacy group. It’s officially called the “Muscle for Money” program within the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) where it was started, and unofficially by the same name among activists of Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN). Muscle for Money includes multiple techniques for creating highly aggressive, organized efforts both to pressure businesses and officials to support the activists’ agenda or to discredit and intimidate opponents of their agenda, according to present and former ACORN members.

Obama Adviser Says U.S. Should Mull Second Stimulus By Shamim Adam at Bloomberg….
July 7 (Bloomberg) — The U.S. should consider drafting a second stimulus package focusing on infrastructure projects because the $787 billion approved in February was “a bit too small,” said Laura Tyson, an outside adviser to President.

The Demise of Newspapers is a Relative Observation by Matt Welch at Reason (Re:RUMOR”S OF ANOTHER BAILOUT RECIPIENT)…
In the year of their widely reported death, American newspapers were still making money like oil companies (averaging 12-15%). Which is a relevant observation to consider before we re-think the First Amendment, re-write copyright law to favor newspapers over citizens, dole out corporate subsidies and targeted tax breaks, launch a journalisim stimulus, mimic the European model, sic the FTC on the problem, let John Kerry anywhere near the levers of legislation, or any of the scores of other damn-fool ideas we’ve seen floated this year alone. Follow up article at The Minority Report…
When they, as gatekeepers to the news, find themselves becoming irrelevant, the natural inclination of their kind is to look to government to reinstate their relevance. They see the Fifth Estate as a co-equal branch of the government — and a government paycheck would cement that perception in the minds of the public. That would not be a good thing for our Republic, or for those who still hold some reverence for the United States Constitution.

Judicial Sleight of Hand By Brittany Fortier of AIM…
Judge David Hamilton of the Southern District of Indiana, who has been nominated by the Obama administration to serve on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, proposes to bring an even more activist approach to the federal judiciary. For example, in A Woman’s Choice v. Newman, Hamilton issued an injunction against an Indiana law requiring abortion clinics to give women information about alternatives to abortion and requiring an 18-hour waiting period before obtaining an abortion, Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., points out. He called Hamilton’s ruling “questionable,” while the Seventh Circuit characterized Hamilton’s ruling as “an abuse of discretion.” In Hinrichs v. Bosma, in which the Judge enjoined the Chaplain of Indiana’s House of Representatives from invoking the name of Jesus Christ during prayers offered at official proceedings but later decreed that invoking the name of Allah was nonsectarian, Sen. Inhofe added. Inhofe described this ruling as “extremely naive and dangerous.” According to the American Center for Law and Justice (ACLJ), “Despite an American Bar Association (ABA) rating of ‘not qualified,’ Hamilton was confirmed to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana by the Senate on October 7, 1994.” ACLJ notes that the ABA changed their rating of Hamilton to “well qualified” more recently when Hamilton was nominated to the Seventh Circuit.

Gallup sees more Americans moving right By Mark Tapscott at Washington Examiner…
Gallup is out today with a new survey showing more Americans are moving to the Right politically than to the Left, including people in all three major groups, Republicans, Independents and Democrats. “Despite the results of the 2008 presidential election, Americans, by a 2-to-1 margin, say their political views in recent years have become more conservative rather than more liberal, 39% to 18%, with 42% saying they have not changed. While independents and Democrats most often say their views haven’t changed, more members of all three major partisan groups indicate that their views have shifted to the right rather than to the left, ” the polling organization said in a special report released earlier today. The latest Gallup results also come soon after the organization reported that 40 percent of Americans now identify themselves as conservatives, the highest level since 2004. In a masterful piece of understatement, the unnamed author of the Gallup announcement of its specia report results offered this observation:The latest data also strongly suggest not only that the election results of 2006 and 2008 should be read as a stunning rejection of current Republican office-holders and spokesmen, but also that Democrats are wrong to read into those results a mandate for liberal change.

States, Employers Advance with E-Verify While Feds Continue to Obstruct Program at Fair US…

After Postponement:
Card Check In Senate Next Month
It’s About Freedom Not Fear by Tim Cameron at American Solutions
Our polling shows that the American people are firmly on the side of supporting a worker’s right to a secret ballot election.  In fact, the tri-partisan agreement to defend this right is overwhelming, as 77% of Republicans, 82% of Democrats, and 79% of independents believe in protecting private ballots.  Support for private ballots is so broad it also spanned union households and every subgroup examined, including majorities of every age, race, geographic group and both genders. So, once again…. why are our representatives in Senate and Congress working against our wishes??????? Put the pressure on.. sign the petition at link above.

Europe Encourages Higher Taxes In America … Heritage Foundation
The solution, according to the Prime Minister, is obvious: make sure people don’t have any other options. In his words, “deeper co-operation is therefore necessary if tax revenues are to be increased in a way that truly helps fiscal consolidation.” If everyone agrees to raise taxes together, then there will be no tax competition, and an enormous obstacle in the way of building the ever-bigger state will have been blown away. But the real prize for the EU lies in the US. The goal of all this Euro-coordination, the Prime Minister argues, is to “encourage the US – with lower tax levels in most areas – to do what has to be done to address its spiraling budget deficit.” Well, we can agree that the U.S. has a spiraling budget deficit. But what the EU is after is to convince the U.S. that lower American taxes – to the extent that they are, in fact, lower – need to be raised in order to reduce tax competition and thereby make life easier for big-spending European welfare states.
Dems Backtrack, Scrap Plans for Probe Into Scandal-Tarnished ACORN …Washington Times
House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers Jr. has backed off his plan to investigate wrongdoing by the liberal activist group ACORN, saying “powers that be” put the kibosh on the idea. Mr. Conyers, Michigan Democrat, earlier bucked his party leaders by calling for hearings on accusations the Association of Community Organization for Reform Now (ACORN) has committed crimes ranging from voter fraud to a mob-style “protection” racket. “The powers that be decided against it,” Mr. Conyers told The Washington Times.

Al Gore and his Ponzi Scheme

An environmental start-up backed by Al Gore’s venture capital firm aims to take advantage of coming U.S. climate change legislation by helping companies like Coca Cola and even cities cut pollution. Hara, a 25-employee company that debuted in 2008, provides online software to help companies reduce their carbon footprint — a $2.5 billion market that will grow 10-fold if the proposed energy bill, which will require companies to get permits for emissions, becomes law, Chief Executive Amit Chatterjee said. Steve Milloy has this to say about the sordid affair: “Operating as a stealth tax, cap-and-trade will make the vast majority of Americans poorer and less free — but Al Gore, Kleiner Perkins, Amit Chatterjee and Hara will be laughing all the way to the bank.”

John Beonher points out corruption in Cap and Trade Bill (videos)

Includes videos of Waxman trying to deny Beonher his time on the floor. Includes Fannie-Freddie “friendly” mortgage breaks. Includes change to building codes to California building codes and many other government mandated “enhancements” to housing, much of which determined at will by Government. Loans, grants to Americore and/or Acorn type concerns. Real estate appraisers must take into consideration of the energy compliance of each home at time of appraisal for mortgage purposes.

HR 675. Obama’s way around Posse Comitatus

In January, without any recognizable corporate media coverage, Rep. Bob Filner, a California Democrat, introduced HR 675. The bill would amend title 10 of the United States Code and extend to civilian employees of the Department of Defense the authority to execute warrants, make arrests, and carry firearms. The bill was referred to the Armed Services Committee on January 26, 2009. H.R. 675 sidesteps Posse Comitatus by defining “law enforcement officer of the Department of Defense” as “a civilian employee of the Department of Defense,” including federal police officers, detectives, criminal investigators, special agents, and game law enforcement officers classified by the Office of Personnel Management Occupational Series 0083 (the United States Office of Personnel Management is described as an “independent agency” of the U.S. government that manages the civil service of the federal government).   Members of the DoD Civilian Expeditionary Workforce shall be organized, trained, cleared, equipped, and ready to deploy in support of combat operations by the military; contingencies; emergency operations; humanitarian missions; disaster relief; restoration of order; drug interdiction; and stability operations of the Department of Defense in accordance with DoDD 3000.05.

Did Obama Say We Should Kill the Old Folks to Save Money Last Night? By Warner Todd Huston

I am wondering when the euthanasia folks are going to start touting this one? I mean, it sure seemed to me as if the most caring, most civil, most intelligent president evah just said that healthcare could be cheaper if we don’t give old folks and the infirm the full measure of care they now get. It appeared that Obama said we should just let them die or suffer because they aren’t worth the effort. Imagine if Bush had said something like this? The left wouldn’t have hesitated to call him any manner of names.

Vote Coming to Confirm Anti-gun Radical ..article from

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has scheduled a Wednesday vote on a State Department nominee who supports gun control on a global scale. While advocates of the Second Amendment have come to expect that appointees of President Barack Obama would be hostile to the rights of gun owners, the president’s nominee for legal advisor to the State Department reaches a whole new level of anti-gun extremism.

EPA Purposely Omits From Record Disenting Evidence

The Competitive Enterprise Institute has obtained internal EPA e-mails that show the agency willfully and recklessly disregarded scientific data that undermined the bureaucracy’s global warming zealotry. The great masses of the people…will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one. – Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf, 1933
Please Sign The Petition To Stop the EPA
On April 17, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued an endangerment finding, saying that global warming poses a serious threat to public health and safety. Thus, almost anything that emits carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases could be regulated under the Clean Air Act. This is the first official action taken by the federal government to regulate carbon dioxide.Docket ID # EPA-HQ-OAR-2009-0171, the Proposed Endangerment Findings for carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, and sulfur hexafluoride is an illegitmate persuit. These gases do not threaten the public health and welfare, and regulation of such gases would cause economic harm.Using the Clean Air Act to regulate carbon dioxide would likely be the most expensive and expansive environmental regulation in history and will bypass the legislative process completely. Furthermore, although the Environmental Protection Agency claims the effects of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are compelling and overwhelming, the scientific evidence suggests anything but that. The agency should not act prematurely to regulate something that is not a problem to begin with.
Instead of Real Financial Reform,  Plan capitulates to Wall Street
The Financial Regulatory Reform proposal promotes Wall Street’s “product,” debt creation, at the expense of the economy at large, and lets financial chieftains continue to self-regulate the debt industry – and by the way, to keep all their gains from the past decade’s worth of fraudulent lending, scot-free. Confronting the wreckage of a debt crisis worse than any since the Great Depression, Mr. Obama has achieved what no Republican could have: rescuing the Bush Administration’s pro-creditor policies that fostered the Bubble Economy in the first place. “Most of the financial sector lobby community is happy with what has emerged,” the Financial Times summarized. A spokesman for the Financial Services Forum, a major Wall Street lobbying organization, called the proposals “careful and balanced.” With such endorsements, victims of predatory lending have good reason to worry. The Obama plan is just the opposite from reforming the financial system along lines that progressive Democrats and other critics have urged.
Congress “zeros out” funding for Democracy Programs In Iran, Just As Citizens Beg For Democracy

Funding for pro-democracy programs began in 2004, when Congress earmarked $1.5 million of the State Department budget for “educational, humanitarian, and non-governmental organizations and individuals inside Iran to support the advancement of democracy and human rights in Iran.” The funding ramped up dramatically two years later, when Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice requested $75 million for pro-democracy programs. More than half of the $66.1 million Congress finally appropriated went to expand U.S. government-funded Persian language broadcasting services at Voice of America and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. But no money has been earmarked for such programs in the administration’s fiscal 2010 foreign operations budget request. Congressional sources told Newsmax they doubted that a Democrat-controlled Congress would add it when the budget comes before a committee next week.

International Bailout Brings Us Closer to Economic Collapse
As Americans struggle through the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, this emergency supplemental appropriations bill sends $660 million to Gaza, $555 million to Israel, $310 million to Egypt, $300 million to Jordan, and $420 million to Mexico. Some $889 million will be sent to the United Nations for so-called “peacekeeping” missions. Almost one billion dollars will be sent overseas to address the global financial crisis outside our borders. Nearly $8 billion will be spent to address a “potential pandemic flu” which could result in mandatory vaccinations for no discernable reason other than to enrich the Pharmaceutical companies that make the vaccine. Perhaps most outrageous is the $108 billion loan guarantee to the International Monetary Fund. These new loan guarantees will allow that destructive organization to continue spending taxpayer money to prop up corrupt leaders and promote harmful economic policies overseas.
ACORN drops tarnished name and moves to silence critics     By: Kevin Mooney Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) leaders are using the threat of a law suit to silence and intimidate critics, according to current and former members of the liberal activist group. In a letter dated June 11 an attorney for ACORN advised top whistleblowers that their unauthorized use of the organization’s name could make them liable for monetary damages and injunctive relief.  ACORN executives have also changed their organization’s name, which was tarnished by investigations in at least 14 states of allegations of voter registration fraud during the 2008 presidential campaign, and charges by current and former members of financial mismanagement and misrepresentation. The new name will let ACORN leaders continue their operations without worrying about prior bad publicity. Acorn has officially changed its name to “Community Organizations International”.
While Americans Are Unemployed, Senate Dems Focus on Guest Worker Program
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) says he wants to enact a new guest worker program as part of a comprehensive immigration reform bill that he is vowing to take up in Congress.
Reid announced his intention to enact a new guest worker program last week despite the fact that the economy is in a deep recession and the national unemployment rate has reached 9.4%, a level that has not been seen since 1983 and that is rare in the post-World War II era.
Skeptics Beating Gore in Public Opinion
For most voters, global warming is not significant enough on its own to drive support for major energy reform. So while it can be part of the story that reform advocates are telling, global warming should be used only in addition to the broader economic frame, not in place of it.
“We will have a world government whether you like it or not. The only question is whether that government will be achieved by conquest or consent.” – Paul Warburg
Part 3: Who holds REAL control – Trilateral Commission
The American public has never, ever conceived that such forces would align themselves so successfully against freedom and Liberty. Yet, the evidence is clear: Steerage of America has long since fallen into the hands of an actively hostile enemy that intends to remove all vestiges of the very things that made us the greatest nation in the history of mankind.
Sen. Barry Goldwater wrote in his book With No Apologies: “In my view, the Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power: political, monetary, intellectual, and ecclesiastical. All this is to be done in the interest of creating a more peaceful, more productive world community. What the Trilateralists truly intend is the creation of a worldwide economic power superior to the political governments of the nation-states involved. They believe the abundant materialism they propose to create will overwhelm existing differences. As managers and creators of the system they will rule the future.”

“Propaganda does not deceive people; it merely helps them to deceive themselves.” Eric Hoffer

A Nation of Independent Voters By Daniel Greenfield

Lately the percentage of independent voters has been growing, at the expense of the Republican voter. And it might be worth taking the time to ask why. Voters identify with a party because they feel that it does or does not represent them. But whose interests does the Republican Party actually represent? In the aftermath of the 2008 election, the Democratic Party has quite clearly demonstrated who they represent. Unions, radical socialists, people who expected the government to pay for everything and environmentalists who want to use global warming as a pretext for controlling people’s daily lives. As Theodore Lowi aptly described in The End of Liberalism: The Second Republic of the United States, it was the willingness of Republican administrations to approve the social liberal bureaucratic coups of their Democratic predecessors that made socialism in the United States possible. As a result instead of a two party system representing two separate philosophies of government, the two party system became a struggle between the radical socialists and the moderate socialists. Is it any wonder then that even so many Republican voters want out?

Government wants control of American farms:  By Henry Lamb

Over the last several weeks, the U.S. Dept of Agriculture has been conducting “listening sessions” in a dozen cities across the country. The purpose of these sessions was to find ways to make the proposed Nation Animal Identification System acceptable to the people who own livestock. It is abundantly clear that the people who will be governed by the NAIS, do not consent to the proposed law. Legitimate government is empowered by the consent of the governed; power imposed by the government without the consent of the governed is tyranny.

Food Safety or Food Control?
H.R. 2749, the Food Safety Enhancement Act of 2009 is shown above in it’s entirety with comment by sponsoring congressional members.

who grows, produces or manufactures food… perhaps including you if you have a garden? Here is the opposing point of view:

Divesting the US?
Divided We Stand by Paul Starobin in WSJ recently
“Devolved America is a vision faithful both to certain postindustrial realities as well as to the pluralistic heart of the American political tradition—a tradition that has been betrayed by the creeping centralization of power in Washington over the decades but may yet reassert itself as an animating spirit for the future. Consider this proposition: America of the 21st century, propelled by currents of modernity that tend to favor the little over the big, may trace a long circle back to the original small-government ideas of the American experiment. The present-day American Goliath may turn out to be a freak of a waning age of politics and economics as conducted on a super-sized scale—too large to make any rational sense in an emerging age of personal empowerment that harks back to the era of the yeoman farmer of America’s early days. The society may find blessed new life, as paradoxical as this may sound, in a return to a smaller form. ..All of this adds up to a federal power grab that might make even FDR’s New Dealers blush. But that’s just the point: Not surprisingly, a lot of folks in the land of Jefferson are taking a stand against an approach that stands to make an indebted citizenry yet more dependent on an already immense federal power.”

Gross Misuse of Science to a Politacal End
By Dr. Tim Ball Monday, June 22, 2009 The enemies of freedom do not argue; they shout and they shoot. –Dean William Inge
Media focuses on the Obama administration policies that put the entire economy in jeopardy through massive and growing debt. It involves the complete illogic of claiming you can reduce debt by increasing debt; what I have called short term gain for long-term pain. It also means increase in government control. However, there are many legislative actions sliding through almost unnoticed, based on equally false logic and information that are threats to freedom through increased government control and economically damaging. … see also link in article Proposed Endangerment and Cause or Contribute Findings for Greenhouse Gases The Clean Air Act item 7602 (g) says, The term “air pollutant” means any air pollution agent or combination of such agents, including any physical, chemical, biological, radioactive (including source material, special nuclear material, and byproduct material) substance or matter which is emitted into or otherwise enters the ambient air. The definition is so wide it is meaningless or as Scalia put it, “malleable”. It could include virtually anything including oxygen. The EPA identify six greenhouse gases namely, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, hydrofluorocarbons, perfluorocarbons, and sulfur hexafluoride. This is a clever mix because the first three are natural atmospheric gases and the last three man-made. (Ironically, hydrofluorocarbons were introduced as a substitute for chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) incorrectly claimed to be destroying the ozone layer. The problem is there was never any proof that CFCs were destroying the ozone.) All of these gases together are less than 4 percent of total greenhouse gases. How can they list naturally occurring gases as pollutants? Because they claim they are causing global warming and climate change, but those are natural processes. There is no evidence that they are due to greenhouse gases at all except in the completely contrived computer models and broadcast in the reports of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). CO2 is essential to life and not causing warming or climate change. In every record for any time period and any duration temperatures change before CO2 not as assumed in the theory that human CO2 is the cause. Methane is only 0.00017 percent of all atmospheric gases and 0.36 percent of greenhouse gases so of little or no consequence. More important, the atmospheric levels have dropped for 14 of the last 15 years. Why don’t they list water vapor, which is 95 percent of the greenhouse gases by volume? It is by far the most important and abundant greenhouse gas, but is virtually ignored. How much does it vary? How much of any change in the greenhouse effect is due to water vapor? The answer is we don’t know because it varies more around the globe than any other greenhouse gas and is very difficult to measure worldwide.

The planned obsolescence of American business is high on Obama’s agenda. And it is a process that began with the overregulation and taxation of business that killed American industry, driving factories overseas and business to cheaper overseas competitors. The Obama administration’s focus on the environment is meant to use environmental regulations to dismantle what’s left of American industry, beginning with coal and ending everywhere else. Those industries that remain will be union run, government subsidized dinosaurs. The question becomes, why kill business? Government spending depends on the golden egg of taxation that comes from the goose of commerce. Throttle the goose, and where will the golden eggs come from? That is a reasonable question, but the same people ready to run up a 10 trillion dollar deficit built on debt to China are not the people you should expect reasonable thought from. The socialist drive all along has been to reconstruct society and centralize it through government. Asking the same people who think Cuba represents a successful revolutionary experiment about finance is like asking a morbid alcoholic who will pay for the whiskey when he gets fired from his job.

Part 2: Who holds REAL control – The Bilderburg Group
When such rich and powerful people meet up in secret, with military intelligence managing their security, with hardly a whisper escaping of what goes on inside, people are right to be suspicious. But the true power of Bilderberg comes from the fact that participants are in a bubble, sealed off from reality and the devastating implications on the ground of the black-science economic solutions on the table. No, it’s not a ‘conspiracy’. The world’s leading financiers and foreign policy strategists don’t get together at Bilderberg to draw up their ‘secret plans for the future’. It’s subtler than that. These meetings create an artificial ‘consensus’ in an attempt to spellbind visiting politicians and and other men of influence. Blair has fallen for this hook, line and sinker. It’s about reinforcing – often to the very people who are on the edge of condemning Globalisation – the illusion that Globalisation is ‘good’, ‘popular’ and that it’s inevitable. Bilderberg is an extremely influential lobbying group. That’s not to say though that the organisers don’t have a hidden agenda, they do, namely acumulation of wealth and power into their own hands whilst explaining to the participants that globalisation is for the good of all. It is also a very good forum for ‘interviewing’ potential future political figures such as Clinton (1991) and Blair (1993) and most recently Hillary and Obama (2008). The ideology put forward at the Bilderberg conferences is that what’s good for banking and big business is good for the mere mortals of the world. Silently banished are the critical voices, those that might point out that debt is spiralling out of control, that wealth is being sucked away from ordinary people and into the hands of the faceless corporate institutions, that millions are dying as a direct result of the global heavyweight Rockefeller/Rothschild economic strategies.  and  … see also the following links:
