Every day I wake up to more incredibly disheartening details of how our government is turning against it’s people. It goes far beyond the simple “corrupt politics” of the past. This is much more serious than that. Our government is in a state of anarchy against the citizenry. They have ceased to represent us. They have closed the door on transparency and the constitution. They are plotting to bankrupt our country, bankrupt our businesses and bankrupt us! On purpose. With intent.
This is America – home of the free and land of the brave – is it not?
I can only speak for myself, but I am not feeling so free and just what is the definition of brave?
The soldiers fighting for our country are brave. But what of the people they are fighting to protect? Some are out there fighting to save this country from domestic enemies. Most are not. Are we such a complacent people that whatever happens, happens? What about freedom? What about justice? What about honesty and integrity? What about our constitution?
How is it even citizens that know and understand what is going on are doing nothing? Nothing? If you are not involved – GET INVOLVED! America NEEDS you! Are you willing to send our children, spouses and parents off to fight for our freedom, yet ask nothing of yourself? How is that fair?
Are people simply naive? Do they think that because it’s America nothing bad can happen to us at the hands of our government? Or do they merely feel powerless to change things? Something bad IS happening and TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THINGS if we act NOW.
Every day that goes by brings new assaults upon our constitution and upon us. At what point is enough ENOUGH?
Even if you are for the non-reforming Health Care Reform our government is attempting to force upon us… Even if you’re for the fallacious and criminal Cap and Trade legislation… Even if you call yourself a liberal – HELLO…. are you not for a representative government which works on the people’s behalf? That’s not just a conservative or libertarian idea, is it? Socialists, Marxists, Fascists and Communists don’t like that idea – but Democrats, Independents.. come on. Pushing stuff through under the cover of darkness, allowing themselves to break any law they choose while holding us to a higher standard, lying to us then calling anyone who catches them “the bad guy”…. why is this ok? Why are many citizens standing to watch but doing nothing to stop it?
It reminds me of that story some years ago in New York City where a woman was being brutally attacked and a whole crowd of people just stood by and let it happen. No one wanted to get involved, no one called 911. We are better than that America! We were then and we are today!
It’s time to call 911 against a government that has us pinned to the ground and is raping everything we hold dear. If you don’t think it’s that serious and that this is just politics of usual, you are simply not paying attention. Our government is instituting it’s own fiscal demise and taking us down with them.
It is no mere coincidence social security is trashed, our 401ks are trashed, our home values are trashed. Our government is directly responsible for all of these. Now they are passing unconstitutional legislation that has nothing to do with what they are claiming to want to accomplish without any hope of funding any of it. We are involved in wars they have no desire to fully fund or win. We owe our souls to foreign governments we can not trust. We are providing billions of our dollars to international socialist organizations (and domestic ones too for that matter). All being done behind closed doors at a rapid fire pace and without the people being given any voice. Everything is a “crisis” – but nothing is really a crisis. The media stands idly by watching and understanding but does not feel compelled to alert us or burden us with facts.
When is enough ENOUGH? Now? If you need direction, allow me to offer some.
SPEAK OUT to anyone, everyone – whether they want to hear it or not. It’s not about politics, it’s about America. Call radio talk shows, write letters to the editor, leave comments on internet sites. Do this on outlets that back these programs – challenge their facts. If you don’t know the truth, research it! Use the watchdog tools provided here to ferret it out. Pay attention. If something sounds fishy, it probably is. Arm yourself with knowledge. Then educate the public.
Educate your politicians. Enlighten them not only to the facts, but also to the point that YOU know the facts. Write or call daily! It only takes five minutes. Don’t tell me you don’t have five minutes in a day to fight for your own freedom. That would be the very definition of complacency.
Use your money as your weapon. If media outlets lie to you, why would you support them? Do not watch network tv, purchase newspapers or magazines if they are unwilling to tell you the truth. Period. If a store or an online concern uses their profits to fund corruption or malfeasance – shop elsewhere. Period. This is YOUR future we are fighting for. It may be inconvenient, but so is 50-60% tax on your income. So is not being able to keep your house. So is not being able to own a car large enough to transport your family. So is having to keep your thermostat at 55 degrees in the middle of winter and 85 degrees in summer. So is waiting two months to see a specialist after you are diagnosed with cancer.
Sign petitions, attend town halls and tea parties. Join Twitter or Facebook groups. Find a concerned citizens group in your area or start one. We are the majority. We are allowing a very small minority to trash our very existence. Do something, but keep it peaceful. Violence, while you may feel compelled to ring their necks or worse, would only empower them further and elicit media sympathy.
If you feel you can not speak out because of your union or your job, be stealth in your opposition. Send emails or call your politicians. Use a fake name when calling stations or commenting on web sites.
Let’s start today with this health care bill. We have had an impact on a few politicians worried they may put their reelection in danger, but house and senate leaders are devising ways to get this legislation passed by going around us and those that speak for us. Reid and Hoyer have already stated their intentions. The President said he will use his energy czar to put cap and trade regulations into play if it won’t pass through normal means.
Our time has run out. Time to get busy. If we loose our way of life, those that did nothing to stop them are complicit in our demise.
News comes this morning of mass protest on Twitter last evening.

Dear Mr. President,
Never in my life have I ever disrespected a President of the United States of America. I have always felt that no matter the disagreements, the office holds a certain level of respect. Then, Mr. President, you were elected.
I did not vote for you. I certainly considered it. I would have been proud to support the first African-American nominee for president. I was proud that my country had come that far in my lifetime. I found your words intriguing, even compelling. The debates, however, made me take notice of your willingness to stretch the truth and morph the facts to fit your own agenda.
At the nomination of Sarah Palin, I cried at the sight of a mom with her children on the platform. What a great moment in American history. Even though Geraldine Ferarro had been nominated for the position with Mondale so many years ago, it was still comforting to this mother and grandmother. I felt pride in my country again, for overcoming another hurdle of bias. I would have thought you would have delighted in it, too. For America’s sake. What a historical election this was going to be. Instead you and your camp hurled insult after condescending insult at her. For no good reason. A fighter of corruption and a watchdog for government thrift. She most certainly did not deserve your insults. Politics aside, what those on the left did to that woman, sincerely hurt my heart.
Then came Joe the Plumber. Why would a person “of the little people” snap at one in such a vile manner? That was odd. Coupled with the insults to Mrs. Palin I began to see a pattern emerging. Not a pattern I would attribute to a champion of the downtrodden, but rather a common thug.
Then I became aware of your back story, Mr. President. I knew then you were not what you purported to be. I knew then you could not be trusted. Your color, Sir, has nothing to do with it. The color of your soul, however, does. History, so far, has proven my judgment correct.
You are nothing but a snake oil salesman, spewing lies in order to sell your product. We’re not buying any of it.
Why would we not mock you? You are the one that lowered the bar with your Saul Alinsky tactics. You mastered them so well you were able to teach them to all your community organizers, like ACORN. Isn’t that how they bullied the banks into making all those bad loans?
The first rule, as you well know, Mr. President, is Power is not only what you have, but what the “enemy” thinks you have. It’s abundantly clear to us now, the enemy is defined by you as the American people. Is that why you disregard the constitution at every turn, hoping we won’t notice?
The second rule is Never go outside the experience of your people. Is that why, Mr. President, you insist on having all those (unconstitutional) Czars?
Thirdly, Mr. President, is the rule stating to, whenever possible, go outside the expertise of your enemy. Is that why the good people of America must spend every one of the few precious moments they have at the end of a long day, a day in which THEY actually fulfill their obligations,educating themselves on all the back door dealing, and researching the bills your friends in the house and senate are hurling at us faster than we can duck from. Is that why the American people are forced to ferret out the real news, expand our vocabularies to include words like oligarchy, and decipher the subtle differences between socialism, Marxism, fascism and communism so we can figure out which one you are running us headlong into? Is that why we must now spend the weekends teaching our children and grandchildren about our brave and glorious forefathers, teaching them the profound meaning of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of these United States – only after becoming aware of the prostitution of our history at the hands of the National Education Association?
Isn’t it the fourth rule that states, Mr. President, Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. We are, now, based on your insistence, living up to our constitutional responsibilities. You, on the other hand are NOT living up to yours. Remember that oath you took? Remember the promises you made? Didn’t we all hear you declare your administration would be a beacon of transparency? Didn’t we hear you declare no lobbyists would be allowed in your cabinet? Didn’t we hear you say you would not raise taxes on the middle class? Didn’t we hear you say you were going to cut spending in Washington by going through the budget line by line? Didn’t we hear you tell us you were going to bring into service only the best and brightest ? Were you speaking of those that were most schooled in the leftist agenda? We misunderstood that part.
The fifth of Alinsky’s rules is Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. This must be your favorite one. It is very evident you are a master at it. Does it hearten you to see how studious the American people are in learning this one? It’s kind of painful to be on the receiving end, though, huh? I know some people think it would be much better to offer up sincere debate on issues, but they are probably naive. Ridicule is much more fun. Of course, it doesn’t solve the problem, but I have a feeling that’s not your actual agenda anyway.
The sixth rule states A good tactic is one your people enjoy. Well, I am certain they enjoy rule #5. Also, it seems they enjoy taking the taxpayers payers money to fund their corruption. Hence Van Jones $8,000,000,000 dollar budget, another $8,000,000,000 dollars to ACORN, Americore, Health Care “Reform”, Cap and Tax, How much to the UN? Geez, there are so many hilarious stunts. Oh, and I am sure your boondoggle trip to Copenhagen on not one, but two huge jets, at the cost of 2 million gallons of fuel and 2 million tons of carbon plus the actual cost of the trip and security and WOW! that’s a huge waste of taxpayer funds. And let’s not forget all the tax money you will be funneling into your friends pockets, back there in Chicago if you are successful… well, that’s just a hoot. Not to us, but I am certain you and “your people” are laughing hysterically.
The seventh rule, Mr. President, A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. That must be why we have unreasonable deadlines that do not even allow the American people to read the legislation. Yeah, you’re right, that would be a drag. To your agenda anyway. Look what happened this summer at those pesky town hall meetings.
Rule eight, Keep the pressure on, explains how you are man-handling the few good representatives we have in the House and Senate to get the job done. They don’t need to worry about the American people or the Constitution. You’ll take care of us. That’s exactly what we are afraid of.
The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself is rule nine. This must why you ignore the American people. After all, what are THEY gonna do.
Rule ten- The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. So it is true, you think if you continue to throw the fast passed, never ending, pardon me Sir, bullshit at us, we will eventually tire. Oh, we are tired all right. Tired of your tactics, and it is true many of us are missing sleep night after night. But, I assure you, Sir, we will not quit. You underestimate the American people’s love for their country and their freedom.
Number eleven is If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into it’s counter side. That explains buying up the car companies in hopes we will forget about it when they become, well, if they become profitable. Then there’s the banks. You kinda got screwed on that one, Mr. President. But I guess you could always blame George Bush.
Number twelve The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Alinsky explains this by saying you can not risk being trapped by your enemy in his sudden agreement with your demand, when he says “You’re right- we don’t know what to do about this issue, now you tell us.” Guess that’s why you refuse to tell Congress what you want in these bills, huh? You don’t have a friggin’ clue, do you? It’s ok, I think you’re counting on your looks and charm to get you through.
Number thirteen and the final tactic is one you know so very, very well. You have taught it to all your cronies, too. Pick a target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it. Problem is, you do it so well, you taught the American people how to do it, too. And you thought you were going to “Unite” us. Oh, yeah, that was just a load of crap, too.
While I hoped we could be friends, I am sorry to say you have declared us, the American people, your enemy. You do so every single time you use one of Alinsky’s tactics upon us. You took an oath you merely wanted to mock, on a bible you mock as well. That’s too bad.
We the people, yeah, I know you think that’s funny too, know the real power does not lie in the hands of the President of the United States. It only temporarily lies with elected representatives in the House and Senate. The real power lies with us, the people. We are rising like a phoenix from the ashes, Mr. President. Your call to duty has been heard. I know they told you about the March on Washington, and hopefully they filled you in on the actual size of the crowd. If you refuse to conform, if you refuse to do your job according to the oath you took, it will be at YOUR peril, not ours. That is not a threat to you, Mr. President, that is a threat to your ability to maintain the office you are so enjoying.
Our forefathers, the ones you care nothing for and that we hold so dear, they gave us the ability to toss you out like yesterday’s news. You and your friends. That is our house, the people’s house. As smart as you are supposed to be, one would think you know that.

I will here begin to lay out what is happening in aggregate. This is only the first part of a two part series of how our government (both parties) are taking our liberties and defying the constitution over and over and over again. They are giving away our soveriegnty as a nation as well.
The Obama Adminstration, following on the heels of the unconstitutional acts of the Bush Administration, is carrying the ball so much further. Under first Bush and now Obama we have nationalized the banks and manufacturing and are well on our way to nationalizing health care, energy, and the air waves. Now they want the power to control the internet. This is not the America I know. This is literally becoming a socialist government, which defies the Constitution of the United States of America. Please join us for the March on Washington DC on 09/12/2009. The Declaration of the United States of America states:
“We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. That to secure these rights, governments are institituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or abolish it, and to institute new government, laying it’s foundation on such principles and organizing it’s powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness.”
The US Constitution and You
http://jim_hayden1.tripod.com/you.htm
The United States Constitution begins with the words, “We the People”. Very simply put that means the we the people hold the only sovereign power to rule ourselves and not the government. We the People have established a set of laws by which the government must abide by and we the people have by these laws authorized the government certain powers as dictated by the Constitution. This set of absolute laws tells the government exactly what it can and what it cannot do. It says government you may go this far and no further. Whenever the government violates any of these absolute laws We the People have the right No the responsibility to totally ignore them. Under a decision by the United States Supreme Court in 1828 any laws passed by the Congress that is in direct violation to or which is contrary to the United States Constitution is not a law. This decision is also known as the Marshal decision and is the standing rule of constitutional law. We have got to wake up to the fact that the government no matter what form it might take is not our friend but is in fact our worst enemy. It is the inherent nature of government to seek absolute power over the governed. By its very nature government must have supreme power to rule and to govern. It is for this very reason why our Constitution was written in the way it was. We as individual citizens have the absolute power to decide for ourselves what is constitutional and what isn’t constitutional. We as individual citizens have the absolute power to force the government to prove in a court of law that its actions against us are within the strict limitations of the constitution. Finally we can cast our vote for individuals who will support and defend the Constitution and who will insure that our individual rights are fully protected.
S. 773 -Bill Allows for Government to Shut Down Internet In Time of Crisis
http://news.cnet.com/8301-13578_3-10320096-38.html
Internet companies and civil liberties groups were alarmed this spring when a U.S. Senate bill proposed handing the White House the power to disconnect private-sector computers from the Internet. They’re not much happier about a revised version that aides to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, a West Virginia Democrat, have spent months drafting behind closed doors. CNET News has obtained a copy of the 55-page draft of S.773, which still appears to permit the president to seize temporary control of private-sector networks during a so-called cybersecurity emergency. The new version would allow the president to “declare a cybersecurity emergency” relating to “non-governmental” computer networks and do what’s necessary to respond to the threat. Other sections of the proposal include a federal certification program for “cybersecurity professionals,” and a requirement that certain computer systems and networks in the private sector be managed by people who have been awarded that license. “I think the redraft, while improved, remains troubling due to its vagueness,” said Larry Clinton, president of the Internet Security Alliance, which counts representatives of Verizon, Verisign, Nortel, and Carnegie Mellon University on its board. “It is unclear what authority Sen. Rockefeller thinks is necessary over the private sector. Unless this is clarified, we cannot properly analyze, let alone support the bill.” Representatives of other large Internet and telecommunications companies expressed concerns about the bill in a teleconference with Rockefeller’s aides this week, but were not immediately available for interviews on Thursday.

H.R.675 – To amend title 10, United States Code, to provide police officers, criminal investigators, and game law enforcement officers of the Department of Defense with authority to execute warrants, make arrests, and carry firearms.
http://www.infowars.com/hr-675-building-obamas-civilian-national-security-force/
In January, without any recognizable corporate media coverage, Rep. Bob Filner, a California Democrat, introduced H.R. 675. The bill would amend title 10 of the United States Code and extend to civilian employees of the Department of Defense the authority to execute warrants, make arrests, and carry firearms. The bill was referred to the Armed Services Committee on January 26, 2009. Filner’s bill would amend the United States code with the following: “Sec. 1585b. Law enforcement officers of the Department of Defense: authority to execute warrants, make arrests, and carry firearms… for any offense against the United States.” (Emphasis added.) The Posse Comitatus Act, passed on June 18, 1878 after the end of Reconstruction, limits the powers of the federal government to use the military for law enforcement. The Act prohibits members of the federal uniformed services from exercising nominally state law enforcement, police, or peace officer powers that maintain “law and order” on non-federal property within the United States. H.R. 675 sidesteps Posse Comitatus by defining “law enforcement officer of the Department of Defense” as “a civilian employee of the Department of Defense,” including federal police officers, detectives, criminal investigators, special agents, and game law enforcement officers classified by the Office of Personnel Management Occupational Series 0083 (the United States Office of Personnel Management is described as an “independent agency” of the U.S. government that manages the civil service of the federal government).

US FEMA CAMPS: a little background
http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=7763
FEMA was created on April 1, 1979 pursuant to President Jimmy Carter’s Executive Order 12127. It amalgamated the Federal Insurance Administration, the National Fire Prevention and Control Administration, the National Weather Service Community Preparedness Program, the Federal Preparedness Agency and the Federal Disaster Assistance Administration activities formerly carried out by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. It also took over Civil Defense from the Department of Defense, which was in charge of preparing citizens for military attack. In 1993 Bill Clinton turned the directorship of FEMA into a Cabinet position. In 2003 FEMA became part of the Department of Homeland Security’s Emergency Preparedness and Response Directorate. The stated purpose of FEMA is to “reduce the loss of life and property and protect the Nation from all hazards, including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, and other man-made disasters, by leading and supporting the nation in a risk-based, comprehensive emergency management system of preparedness, protection, response, recovery, and mitigation.”
Readiness Exercise 1984 (REX-84) is an emergency response program involving the implementation of martial law, the movement of civilian populations and the arrest and detainment of segments of the population. …
Operation Garden Plot is a United States Army and National Guard program under control of the US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) to provide Federal military support during domestic civil disturbances. ..Executive Order was made to permit the use of the Federal army to uphold domestic laws pursuant to the 1878 Posse Comitatus Act, which places restrictions on the domestic use of the military for law enforcement purposes.
Recently, however, Section 1076 Public Law 109-364, or the “John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007” (H.R.5122) has amended Posse Comitatus and The Insurrection Act (which also places limits on domestic military deployment) to allow the Federal government to unilaterally take control of state National Guards and position Federal troops anywhere in the country during a ‘public emergency’.Throughout the 1960s numerous Presidential Executive Orders were issued authorizing Federal agencies to take over essential functions in the case of a declared emergency. The powers include, among many others, the authority of the Federal government to take over transportation infrastructure including highways and seaports (10990), food resources and farms (10998) and mobilize citizens into government supervised work brigades (11000).
On May 9, 2007 President George Bush reasserted the role of the Federal government during a declared emergency by issuing Executive Order NSPD 51/ HSPD-20. The Order states that in the event of a ‘catastrophic emergency’ all ‘national essential functions’ may be taken over by the Executive branch of government and the Department of Homeland Security (including FEMA).The United States Federal Emergency Management Agency has numerous detainment camps throughout the United States. Some camps have been recently constructed and / or renovated and are fully staffed. The existence of the camps coupled with Presidential Executive Orders giving the President and Department of Homeland Security (of which FEMA is now part) control over ‘national essential functions’ in the event of ‘catastrophic emergency’ have resulted in concerns that the camps will be used to forcefully detain American citizens for unconstitutional purposes.
ENTER H.R. 645 – National Emergency Centers Establishment Act
HR 645- Congress Acts To Authorize and Legalize FEMA Camps
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/80801
A new bill has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives called the National Emergency Centers Act or HR 645. This bill, if passed into law, will direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers otherwise known as FEMA camp facilities on military installations. This is an incredibly disturbing piece of legislation considering that the powers that be have already set in motion an agenda to setup a nationwide marital law apparatus through U.S. Northern Command and the Department of Homeland Security. Apparently, the fusion centers, militarized police, surveillance cameras and a domestic military command is not enough. Even though we know that detention facilities are already in place, they now want to legalize the construction of FEMA camps on military installations using the ever popular excuse that the facilities are for the purposes of a national emergency. With the phony debt based economy getting worse and worse by the day, the possibility of civil unrest is becoming a greater threat to the establishment. One need only look at Iceland, Greece and other nations for what might happen in the United States next. With this in mind, it appears as if these so called national emergency centers will be used in a national emergency but only if the national emergency requires large groups of people to be rounded up and detained. If that isn’t the case, than why have these national emergency facilities built in military installations?

HR:1388 – The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act – passed into law 04/21/2009
http://www.redstate.com/hogan/2009/03/25/promoting-statism-in-the-name-of-service/
[ H.R. 1388 ] is one of the most disturbing pieces of legislation I have seen in a long time. The “Serve America Act” is cloaked in feel-good rhetoric and supposedly noble goals, but it is nothing more than another Washington power-grab – this time targeted at non-profits and education – and ultimately at indoctrinating a whole new generation of Obamanistas into forsaking individual liberty and free will for the Statist worldview.
The bill is far too onerous to detail here – and given Republican support for it, it would seem somewhat futile. But, the legislation is far too destructive not to spend some time on, and one of the few remaining patriots in Washington – Jim DeMint (R-SC) – gave an excellent speech yesterday explaining the bill’s misguided approach and his opposition.
And here are just a few of the lowlights in the legislation:
1. The bill will substantially increase the size and reach of an existing federal government program;
2. The bill will burden taxpayers with more than 5 billion tax dollars at a time when we should be cutting back, not spending more;
3. The bill will steer funding and volunteers for public service away from churches, individuals, neighbors, and others who would like to lend a helping hand and toward organizations selected by bureaucrats;
4. The bill is full of vague language and has insufficient safeguards to prevent left-wing special interest groups from using tax dollars to advance their agenda in the name of “community service;”
5. The bill risks politicizing charity and community service by funneling funds and volunteers toward the preferred organizations picked by ideologues;
6. The first 25% of this bill is really education legislation, and should be in an education bill at the state level; and
7. The bill will compound the disincentives created by new limits on federal tax deductions for charitable giving, thereby decreasing the role of families, churches and other local organizations in their communities.
When you look at the details – one realizes that it’s far worse than even that… more along the lines of full-scale indoctrination camps toward Statism. The legislation will, in many circumstances, force our children to participate in charitable activity as part of school – and that activity may well be chosen by or approved by a bureaucrat. The bill causes a federally chartered, Washington-based institution to, essentially, pick priorities and winners and losers in the charitable universe – undoubtedly putting many charities at a significant disadvantage…
None of this even considers the lack of Constitutional basis for such a massive federal intervention into local charities and volunteerism… but when does that ever stop anyone in Washington? And when coupled with the soon-to-be-reduced lower tax deductions for charities, the Obama-Democrat machine is massively shifting the focus of charity from the individual to the State.
H.R. 45 – Blair Holt Firearms Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/89772
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm – any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
.It is registered
.You are fingerprinted
.You supply a current Driver’s License
.You supply your Social Security #
.You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing
.Each update – change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25
– Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
.There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.
The Government would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.
If you think this is a joke – go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this..

Another Story of Government Insulting Concerned Americans from American Liberty Alliance
http://americanlibertyalliance.com/blog/2009-08-27/taxpayer-dollars-used-to-call-american-patriots-tea-baggers/ We at the American Liberty Alliance, an organization that is deeply involved in the Tea Party Movement, find this incredibly offensive. Our group demands that the Rules Committee immediately apologize and ensure the person responsible for sending this message is reprimanded for insulting the hundreds of thousands of American Patriots who consider themselves “Tea Partiers.” Anyone wishing to contact the Rules Committee can call the number they provide in their email. Call (916) 319-2800 and tell them how you feel!
This would suggest that someone working on taxpayer time, in a taxpayer funded office, using taxpayer funded email servers to contact taxpayer employees, deliberately chose to use the phrase “tea baggers” instead of “Tea Partiers.” (“tea baggers” is an explicit sexual term whose definition can be found at wikipedia.com)
Federal Communications Commission Chief Diversity Officer Mark Lloyd called on fellow liberals to follow the model of former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and challenge conservative media moguls and station owners, particularly figures such as Rush Limbaugh, Rupert Murdoch, and “a pro-big business Supreme Court aligned” with them. Lloyd made the call in a 2007 article for the liberal Center for American Progress while he was a senior fellow there. Entitled “Media Maneuvers: Why the Rush to Waive Cross-Ownership Bans,” the article ostensibly talks about the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) decision to allow Chicago real estate mogul Sam Zell to purchase the then-failing Chicago Tribune Co., owner of the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Lloyd, however, uses the Zell case, in which Zell ultimately prevailed, to make a broader argument that liberals should look to the tactics employed by FDR to combat his conservative critics in the media, saying that liberals must challenge outspoken conservatives who own media outlets. “Progressives should take a page from FDR’s media diversity playbook,” Lloyd wrote. “[A]t the end of a second FDR administration [in 1940] when the New Dealers were still battling a conservative print media and a conservative Supreme Court to fix the great debacle of American capitalism – the Great Depression. “FDR’s fireside chats and his ready access to radio allowed him to speak directly to Americans and continue to push a progressive agenda,” said Lloyd. “But FDR was becoming increasingly concerned about the purchase of radio operations by the newspaper publishers.”
President Obama said: “If you want to know what my views are, look who I surround myself with”
Ok, that’s fair… so let’s look:
Regulatory Czar Cass Sunstein
Sunstein was named head of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs in the Obama administration if confirmed – in other words, he will be the new Regulatory Czar.
The Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), within the Office of Management and Budget, was created by Congress with the enactment of the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1980 (PRA). Under this and other authorities, OIRA develops and oversees several critical functions, including:
- The implementation of government-wide policies and standards with respect to Federal regulations and guidance documents;
- The quality, utility, and analytic rigor of information used to support public policy;
- Dissemination of and access to government information;
- Privacy and confidentiality;
- Electronic records; and
- Federal statistics.
OIRA reviews significant proposed and final rules as well as information collection requests prior to publication in the Federal Register. Coordinated review of agency rulemaking is necessary to ensure that regulatory actions do not conflict with the policies or actions taken or planned by another agency, are consistent with applicable law, the President’s priorities, and the principles set forth in Executive Order 12866. The office is headed by a Presidentially appointed and Senate-confirmed Administrator.

By a nudge we mean anything that influences our choices. A school cafeteria might try to nudge kids toward good diets by putting the healthiest foods at front. We think that it’s time for institutions, including government, to become much more user-friendly by enlisting the science of choice to make life easier for people and by gentling nudging them in directions that will make their lives better.
In other words, you institute change by constantly tweaking the law, etc. until it becomes what you want it to be. Fascist baby steps if you will. From Wikipedia:
Sunstein (along with his coauthor Richard Thaler) has elaborated the theory of libertarian paternalism. In arguing for this theory, he counsels thinkers/academics/politicians to embrace the findings of behavioral economics as applied to law, maintaining freedom of choice while also steering people’s decisions in directions that will make their lives go better. With Thaler, he coined the term “choice architect.”
He also has views on a ‘New Deal’ for speech and he seeks to tweak the Constitution so to speak (actually, more like rewriting it) in this area as well as others…
1st Amendment
In his book Democracy and the Problem of Free Speech Sunstein says there is a need to reformulate First Amendment law. He thinks that the current formulation, based on Justice Holmes’ conception of free speech as a marketplace “disserves the aspirations of those who wrote America’s founding document.” The purpose of this reformulation would be to “reinvigorate processes of democratic deliberation, by ensuring greater attention to public issues and greater diversity of views.” He is concerned by the present “situation in which like-minded people speak or listen mostly to one another,” and thinks that in “light of astonishing economic and technological changes, we must doubt whether, as interpreted, the constitutional guarantee of free speech is adequately serving democratic goals.” He proposes a “New Deal for speech [that] would draw on Justice Brandeis’ insistence on the role of free speech in promoting political deliberation and citizenship.”
newsrealblog.com:
Here are some Sunstein gems:
- “Much of the time, the United States seems to have embraced a confused and pernicious form of individualism. This approach endorses rights of private property and freedom of contract, and respects political liberty, but claims to distrust ‘government intervention’ and insists that people must fend for themselves. This form of so-called individualism is incoherent, a tangle of confusions.”
– Cass R. Sunstein, The Second Bill of Rights: FDR’s Unfinished Revolution and Why We Need it More Than Ever, Basic Books, New York, 2004, p. 3
- “A system of limitless individual choices, with respect to communications, is not necessarily in the interest of citizenship and self-government.”
–Cass Sunstein, arguing for a Fairness Doctrine for the Internet in his book, Republic.com 2.0, p.137
- “In what sense is the money in our pockets and bank accounts fully ‘ours’? Did we earn it by our own autonomous efforts? Could we have inherited it without the assistance of probate courts? Do we save it without the support of bank regulators? Could we spend it if there were no public officials to coordinate the efforts and pool the resources of the community in which we live?… Without taxes there would be no liberty. Without taxes there would be no property. Without taxes, few of us would have any assets worth defending. [It is] a dim fiction that some people enjoy and exercise their rights without placing any burden whatsoever on the public fisc. … There is no liberty without dependency. That is why we should celebrate tax day …”

Leftist False Flag Operation in Colorado? from Canada Free Press
Colorado Citizens’ Coalition, a 527 pressure group, may have been behind an attack on a Democratic Party office in Denver calculated to depict opponents of ObamaCare as violent. Maurice Schwenkler, reportedly an anarchist who goes by the name Ariel Attack and whose sex is a subject of debate, was arrested for vandalizing the Denver office. One available photograph shows a shattered window that bears two signs on the inside reading “Want Health Care Reform? Come Inside” and “Today 100 Coloradans will lose their health insurance.” The damage may cost $10,000 to repair. Colorado Democratic Party chairwoman Pat Waak blamed opponents of President Obama’s healthcare nationalization scheme for the vandalism. “Clearly there’s been an effort on the other side to stir up hate,” she said. “I think this is the consequence of it.” … {As it turns out, that was not the case.] Waak has not yet apologized. New “Lingo” in the news:
What’s black bloc activity
A black bloc is a group of protesters dressed in black, who often cooperate in small, autonomous affinity groups to resist police. There may be several black blocs within a particular protest, with different aims and tactics. Black blocs tend to be anarchist-themed, and may include members of union flying squads, anarchists, situationists, pagans, communists and other anti-racist, anti-capitalist, and anti-fascist groups. What defines a black bloc is not ideology but action in self-defense of the larger group of protesters. They are named for the typical black garb they wear for uniformity. Many also wear masks and scarves over their faces, to avoid identification, to protect their faces against tear gas and pepper spray, and for symbolic purposes. Typical actions of a black bloc are distracting police, misleading police about protester motions, ‘unarresting’ people already arrested by police, administering first aid to persons affected by tear gas in areas where protestors are barred from entering, building barricades, attacking/disarming police, and unmasking police who pose as black blockers (easily identified as they attack protestors). Some black blockers also engage in vandalism and rioting. Although black blocking is usually connected with some form of direct action, black blocs also participate in wholly symbolic action, as well as action that falls entirely within traditional definitions of nonviolence. Property destruction carried out by black blocs tends to have symbolic significance: favorite targets include banks, institutional buildings, outlets for multinational corporations, pornography and sex shops, gasoline stations, and videosurveillance cameras. Groups such as the WOMBLES and Wild Greens advocate participating in black bloc activity, and have similar mandates. Groups that have engaged in similar forms of action include Radical Anti-Capitalist Blocs, Anti-Racist Action, and Anti-Fascist Action.
